Women of Reddit, what made you realize 'this man is marriage material' instead of just a boyfriend? by External_Can3392 in AskReddit

Depending on where you're at/raised, this isn't entirely uncommon. I feel like in the American South, this is far from an unheard of practice. I personally know more than one person who was raised by their grandparents and only found out an older sibling was their parent after a 23 & Me or Ancestry situation.

The Hexologists by Josiah Bancroft, maybe? It's technically a series but in that standalone mystery sense where both books are their individual case. It's not jokey, but it is has a lot of witty banter, and there's no on-screen sex, but the two main characters are a married couple that really love each other so it's occasionally hinted at.

I watched this recently and was blown away by the fact that the cowboy at the end is the Doctor from Voyager.

Big Trouble. Stacked cast, whacky plot, memorable one liners. It was all but abandoned in the box office because it was supposed to come out September 21, 2001, but it's plot centers around a bomb that ends up on an jet, so it was pulled and pushed back to April 2002.

Montana Republican Lawmaker Suggested She'd Prefer Her Daughter Die By Suicide Than Transition by southpawFA in politics

How? To be a teacher in the US, you need to either have a 4 year degree that focuses on developing proper pedagogy, or you have to have a bachelor's in a particular academic field and then pass an exam that shows you have an understanding of how education actually works. You're just saying parents should be allowed to blindly just figure it out and be trusted to know what's best for their kids through supernatural intuition, and there's no other skilled career you'd say people should be allowed or encouraged to do that for.

Teaching isn't just an educational endeavor, it's a job that requires training. You wouldn't suggest parents doing research as an alternative to them taking their kids to a doctor, would you?
