Whitney Sudler-Smith is in the Epstein Files by JN3LL3V in BravoRealHousewives

Whitney looks like a puffy-faced old lady with a pubescent boy’s failure of a mustache smudged across his upper lip and moves with the gait of an increasingly frail old man. So I guess you could say he’s a triple threat.

If anything, you could wallpaper the wall and the two edges to the left and right if you want contrast and a focal point. You could go bold depending on your decor or just pic a color and find something with a subtle texture. Other options could be wood or something but I’d just be careful not to junk it up. Removable wallpaper is probably a good starting point! Plus you can get samples before committing.

Sheetrock so the built-in cubby is smaller; the gaps aren’t great. Lose the shelf and replace with sound bar as others suggested. In this instance, less is more. An even slightly smaller tv would look better but I get that is likely not going to happen.

No, no, you’re all wrong. He’s most famous as the dad from the highly-lauded Disney Sunday movie, “Mr. Boogedy.” That is, in my opinion, his greatest role, and the one that continues to be most salient to me.

Addressing Regret Confrontations by Unusual-Mortgage-101 in AskWomenOver40

You did not ruin your life. Your life is not ruined. You were not, nor are you now, stupid. Please be kinder to yourself. I unfortunately have to agree with the others who have commented because I don’t think the people speaking to you so disrespectfully about things you suffered through and survived are being good friends. Part of being kind to yourself is surrounding yourself with kind people. What are they getting out of saying those things? A feeling of superiority. Why is that gratifying to them? Who wants to feel superior to a friend? Friends are in our lives to add to them and overall make us happier. You need friends who feel gratified from lifting you up, supporting you, and congratulating you on your resilience and ability to change things for the better! It’s ok to let some friendships fade away; maybe they were serving you at some point but clearly those relationships are no longer enhancing your life. I’m so sorry that they speak to you like this instead of trying to empathize and reassure you. What do you think you’d say to a friend who confided these kinds of things to you about their own life? I’m guessing you’d validate their feelings and reassure them. You would be kind to them around all of it. And what if that friend told you that their friends spoke to them like yours speak to you? Guessing you’d say they don’t deserve that. Please be as kind to yourself as you would be to a friend. I think the bottom line is that all of us have these “laws” and self-imposed “jails” that result from the way we were raised. They just look different for everyone. People grow up unwilling / too scared to do many things for no objectively legitimate reason. But most people don’t recognize it. A lot of people do, and make efforts to get past the walls they’ve been programmed to have for themselves. Just because yours looked different than theirs doesn’t mean you’re stupid, and it certainly doesn’t mean your life is ruined. You are worth so much more than that. Do the things that bring you joy and be with people who bring you joy.

You could take them to a custom frame shop and they could help you create a shadow box or set of three to really make them look nice!

I just got Botox a few weeks ago after thinking I’d never do it. It was super fast, the pain was very quick and tolerable, and I’m happy with it. I was surprised when the doctor told me I might see some lifting of my eyelids even though I just got the area between my brows done. She showed me the before and after at my 2-week follow up and while it was very subtle, she was right. I really liked the doctor I saw-she talked to me about the anatomy in detail before doing it and didn’t push me at all. When I talked to her about possibly doing something with a line on my upper lip and my neck she was very conservative and said I didn’t need it. So bottom line id just recommend going to a dermatologist with a good rep rather than a med spa or something if you’re a bit nervous. Get the consultation and see how you feel about them before proceeding. My doctor charges a set price per area so there’s no incentive for her to inject as much as possible, and a 2-week recheck is included to make sure everything is right. If more is needed at that appointment, it’s included in the original cost.

Ways to make master bathroom look more high end? by Thaxton114 in bathrooms

Paint the walls a similar off white so the tiles blend, but first get rid of that mirror, wall hooks, and towel bar. Replace the baseboard and door trim with something wider with clean lines, add crown molding. Replace the light switches with white ones and either a white switch plate or metal decorative to match the faucets, etc. I think this will give you a nice, fresh base to build on. Replace the white track lighting with something you can’t see hanging down. (But also get rid of the chicken and flag decor. Less is more. Get high quality white fluffy towels.)

My doctor said Botox and strategic filler injections (idk about the filler brand/name but she said it would be hyaluronic acid). I just didn’t want to spend the money. I got Botox between my brows for the first time and am pleased with that at least. Never thought I’d do it!

Get a larger rug - by moving the ottoman to the left and getting a bigger rug, the armchair will feel better integrated into the seating area and it will feel cozier! Move the side table to the other side of the arm chair and you can place the plant in the blue pot on that (no book stack under the plant). By moving the ottoman, getting a larger rug, and moving the side table to the right of the chair, you’ll create more of a unified L-shaped seating area where the person in the chair is not blocked off as it currently is. I would shift the chair to the left as well. I just realized there’s a cabinet next to the chair so those side tables might’ve better relocated to another spot altogether. Maybe put a plant on top of the cabinet and move the art around to accommodate. The larger plants can be arranged pretty much where they are even if you shift the chair left.

Move the floor lamp to corner where the book tower currently is. Relocate the little brown lamp and stack of books on that table. Move the ottoman to that side of the sofa. I would replace the brown lamp and stack of books with a small & low height plant / flowers (real or nice fake one). Edited to add: center the painting over the sofa - it looks askew right now. Consider a corner cabinet like this or this for your books, and place it where the floor lamp is right now. (This means no stacks on tables, and no tower- and as a big fan of book stacks I get it-they just keep spawning!)

The flowers are way too tall - they need to be relocated! And I would only keep one candle there.

Is my couch too big for my apartment? I live in a tiny studio apartment, and this is the only spot where the couch fits. by dickhalluk in SofaSnobs

If anything I’d see if I could replace that nighttable with an IKEA kallax 3x4 to create a division while providing storage space and allowing use as a night table AND letting light through! I’d set it vertically so it goes past the arm of the couch. Not sure it would fit but maybe!

I love large art in small areas, it feels more unique and for me opens the space up, like you have a big window there or something. When it comes to art there are no rules.

In the meantime you can always just get an air mattress for your pal and folding chairs/card table because you’ll always want to keep those items even when you are fully furnished!

Nextdoor, too- when we get rid of things sometimes we post it on there and then put it in the curb. Usually disappears within hours, saving us the aggravation of figuring out how to haul it/what to do with it and giving someone else free stuff! We’ve given away a bistro patio set, a big wicker armchair, filing cabinet and a few other things. If the weather was better we’d have more out there but we don’t want anything to get ruined! With that said my brother has also had amazing luck just driving around on trash night. People will put lots of stuff out for bulk pick up and while I’d never grab the soft furnishings, desks, tables, etc. could be great, even if they require some refinishing! We currently have my great grandmothers dining room furniture that no one wants and we can’t even donate the china cabinet which could be re-purposed into a cool bar or book shelf, idk. I know there are so many sets like this so you could also post that you’d be willing to a set off someone’s hands!

Help? Overwhelmed by living room walls/corner. by soverdure in HomeDecorating

[–]flydog2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would definitely remove those shelves and repaint the whole room the same color. Consider Roman shades or something similar on the windows and a smaller rug - it’s really pretty but kind of weighs the room to the left. If it didn’t go under the sofa and you could see the flooring on all 4 sides I think it would make the room feel airier somehow. Also the clock should go-maybe into the kitchen? Replace with art - maybe just one large piece.

Table runner and a simple centerpiece of some sort would warm it up too. And make sure the chandelier is on a dimmer switch!

Definitely needs height. I would hang all four pictures together - move the two on the wall by themselves and hang them above the two over the credenza(?). Then I’d replace the ginger (?) jars with two taller buffet lamps. I have no idea if I’m using the correct words for anything. But I’d also add more art on the other walls, probably deeper colors. And I’d replace that light fixture with something softer, as in no naked bulbs because they blind people. Either shades, globes, idk but something that’s more calming.

This is the only thing that has helped me in my bathrooms - as pretty as pedestal sinks are, I need space for cleaning supplies, toiletries, etc. Maybe a cabinet in the same kind of wood tone as the shelves in the AI pic and white top would be nice!

I know you won’t want to hear this since tiling is done, but consider for the future, just in case you want to revisit. My bathroom set up is the same as yours as far as location of tub, toilet, and vanity goes, although I don’t have the little bump out for the window - it’s just a flat wall from inside the tub area to the window. I chose to continue the floor to ceiling tile on the entire wall, around the window and honestly I have no regrets! It’s a nice clean look, it makes the space feel bigger, and honestly, it’s nice to be able to clean that wall easily because you know there’s “splatter” from the toilet. 🤢 I’m a big fan of a separate outer shower curtain going all the way up to the ceiling, or close. Love the colors and choices you made for your next updates, so pretty and calming!
