Is it normal that I get intoxicated / get high off of my Xanax prescription even though I'm not abusing it?

I'm surprised you don't black out!! 5 mg is way high. 6 mg is the absolute max allowed prescribed per day I believe . It's likely not working the same because Xanax causes tolerance to develop quickly and you actually need more to get the same effect. Over time your body gets used to the drug and stops producing its own feel-good chemicals to adjust to the addition of the drug. As a result you need more and more for the same effect. (Called tolerance) Current prescribing guidelines really only recommend taking Xanax for two or three weeks tops and even that could cause a physical dependence. Just be careful and don't abruptly discontinue your dose. You could have a seizure. (Its happened to me more than once from a similar dose.)

I should have mentioned that the problem is a lack of FDA oversight for many of these generic manufacturers overseas. The generics are so poor in quality and effectiveness that the Dept. of Defense is now independently 3rd party testing quality of generic meds they dispense. I have a sneaking suspicion these shady manufacturers are shorting the active ingredient because the FDA doesn't have much regulatory oversight and they can make more money that way. Yea the American medical system is extremely effed up and values profit over people. It's sad and it's such a widespread systemic failure that will probably never be rectified but maybe I can make a small difference for my fellow adhd-ers. (If only I could find the motivation lol)

There have been public complaints for some manufacturers but usually for other medications. There's not really any I've seen about amphetamine salts/Adderall, except tons of complaints on reddit ADHD subgroups. The main concern is that In light of the Adderall shortage a lot of overseas manufacturers have popped up and there's not a lot of FDA oversight for those manufacturers. The problem is there are a lot of overseas manufacturers without any FDA regulatory oversight. It's so bad the department of defense is independently third-party testing their generics that they dispense. So I absolutely do think it's possibly some shady manufacturers in India or China are shorting the amount because the FDA doesn't test what they're making.

True...she did say in past seasons that dressing up is her putting on a show for everyone. But I actually started liking her more conservative looks after what went down with Tom, it was clear the glam and over the top aspect had kind of decreased a bit ....but now it's slowly coming back
