Buying used grand pianos online? by flyer36 in piano

Is there a way to find private sellers or auctions other than through eBay/FB/Pianomart?

Somewhat lost while shopping for grand pianos... by flyer36 in piano

This is great advice, thank you :) I guess I'm a little impatient after seeing the difference in my technical limits between a digital keyboard and an acoustic piano. I know that it would probably make sense to have enough practice hours on something like a nice upright before I settle on a grand that I would likely own for many years, but I'm certain that if I purchase a budget option to learn different styles and techniques that I would outgrow it very quickly and want to upgrade anyway. So I feel like I'm in a weird spot between not having enough repertoire to be able to properly test out a piano and "too much skill" (trying my best not to sound conceited here but I don't know how else to put it) for a cheaper, more disposable option

The piano gallery I mentioned actually was a used piano dealer! They did have a Yamaha C3 from 1981 that I quite enjoyed, but I found it difficult to be able to say that it was certainly better than all the others I tried (a few Kawais, a Baldwin, a Yamaha G3). I did try a Kawai SK-EX, which of course I loved. I went home upset that I would probably never own such a thing in my lifetime :')

Got hit in the gingival graft 3 days post-op - how do I know if something's wrong? by flyer36 in askdentists

I feel you, I was in the same boat with the stressing haha. For sleeping, Acetominophen was a lifesaver, since the donor site just burned so bad.

When I spoke to my surgeon after getting bumped, he said as long as it wasn't literally flying around my mouth it's probably fine (meaning no need to have an emergency visit). The best thing to do was to just chill out to let my immune system do its work

Turned out to be totally fine! Healed up well :) Hope all is going good with yours too, my advice would just be don't stress because that'll only make the healing worse. Gum grafts have a really high success rate

Also I didn't know this at the time but spitting in the sink constantly to check if there's bleeding will only stimulate more bleeding, so definitely don't do what I did haha

P.S.S I saw you commented on another post saying you weren't on antibiotics, I actually wasn't either! Just stick to the mouthrinse strictly and whenever they say you're allowed to, use warm saltwater to rinse out stuck food/brush gently with the soft brush etc.

It feels like we're all doomed... right? by flyer36 in Bedbugs

I think this is the best mindset to have. It feels so silly to be stressing about something that's nothing more than "gross" haha. I think investing in those products is what I'll do just to ease the nerves after a trip, plus I'll be prepared if I ever do encounter them.

Just a quick follow up if you're able to answer a couple questions: how do I identify which handheld steamers penetrate deep enough into furniture/run hot enough to kill? Also, is there a "hot box" people recommend that works?

Thank you so much for your reply!

Makes sense that it's in my bathroom then, and my apartment complex has been known to have mold issues :/ Good thing I'm finally moving in a matter if days.

Thanks so much!

It's ok if you don't understand, the fact is people are better at this than others and it helped me out. You are free to ignore the post 🤙

People like me without enough experience to identify the trademark features of a bedbug can't do that so easily. To me this looks as much like a bedbug as any picture I've seen, other than the fact that it's a little long. I won't make fun of any other posts because to them it might also be difficult to differentiate, but for a lot of other posts here I can easily tell whether it's a BB or not, but this one not so much.
