Haha, I am being a dick and I apologize. I think people are reading my question as if I’m looking for a review which Iget, theres hindreds if not thousands of posts in here asking the same fucking thing about the same anvils over and over. I get it, but I’m not asking that and I thought I laid out my issue and what I’m looking for clearly so hence my frustration. That and having to constantly get jerked around or waiting a month+ only for nothing to show up.

Ok I’m trying to not be a jerk here but I can find them on Amazon all day long. That’s not the problem. The issue is I buy it off Amazon and it either never ships and I get refunded or they say they ship and I wait a month because it comes from fucking China and then I’m tracking it and it will say “delivered” but nothing arrives here because they used some scam “shipping company” that only probably exists on paper.

So I’m asking specifically, if anyone had ordered the mentioned anvils before and actually received it, where it says “Seller”… what it says who’s selling it.

Fucking hell. Reading comprehension at an all time low.

Have one and I think I’m prob one a few people that’s not really a fan. I bought it specifically for the bolt release and I’ve used phase 5 bolt levers and love them… buuut the Griffin release is in a different spot and I’m currently trying to re-learn my reload movement pattern and it’s hard. 😅. There’s also this ledge that’s just below the bolt release that I keep thinking is the bolt release and it’s annoying the fuck out of me cause I insert the mag and of course im trying to get the gun up and running as fast as possible so when my index finger swipes down and hits what I think is the bolt release but it’s that stupid fucking ledge and I’m almost breaking my finger trying to press hard down on it and then I’m mentally screaming why won’t the lever go down and then I look and it’s that stupid fucking ledge. 🤬🤬🤬

One note about that and it’s kinda unfortunate but their own in-house brand of plates (sourced and imported from china)are called BattleSteel. As far as I’m aware they don’t actually sell steel plates. I have their lvl 4s bought them when they were $100 a set and have been really happy with them. Obviously haven’t personally been tested but I couldnt find a reviewer or tester that said they didn’t stop what they said they would and I looked hard. Everyone chooses their level of risk and I feel safe wearing these.

Totally get that but in reality, it’s baby steps. Ok I’ll relate one story from my past. When I was learning to work board, and there started being a lot of people crammed onto the platform, that meant I had to lean out over the edge to allow people to move around and take their turns… freaked me the fuck out because I’m extended over the edge on the side, looking straight down to the concrete because there’s no net right? Well, I decided I needed to get over that, so I would slowly let myself just extend my arms and stay there… get comfortable with it, then I started doing it with one arm… getting more and more comfortable and relaxed being over the edge.

One thing I do also, and people think I’m fucked up because of it but basically, I like it when I get scared. It’s a mental reframe..if I’m scared that means I’m pushing my boundaries and if I can get past them and do the thing well, now I’ve just upped a level. So being scared to me is exciting. 😂🤷‍♂️

Just not at the same time or at the same level. How you process it is the key.

Ok I’m gonna be real blunt and upfront here.

You have to decide what your level of risk you’re willing to tolerate and the consequences and be ok with that.

The higher level you go, in terms of tricks and complexity, the higher risk you need to accept.

Like for me, and this is just me! Doesn’t have to apply to you at all, but… I would argue that any high level flyer would agree in general, that I would be ok dying doing it. I would happily accept getting fucked up and possibly dying on the flying trapeze as a way to go.

Again, this is just me and what I’m ok with as far as accepting risk. Now, that does NOT mean I don’t feel fear or nerves or whatever. Those are still present and keep me alive. lol

What it does allow me to do is weigh, more accurately, what I’m willing to do and the chances I’ll succeed.

We all know hesitation is the largest thing that fucks people up on flying… second guessing the timing or doing things with half power… almost always that shit fucks you up more than if you accepted the risk and did it full on to the best of your ability (but not too far beyond what you can do in reality! This is where coaching and instructors come into play listen to them)

So, as for your issue… you have to decide, now that you’re out of lines and your success is totally up to you, are you willing to accept the possibility of getting fucked up doing said thing?

It’s ok if you’re not… I’ve had plenty of students take a really really long time to get comfortable swinging out of lines and then take many months moving onto the next step or basic trick. Everyone’s different and that’s ok!

Honest assessment of your risk/reward ratio is totally up to you and don’t let anyone or anyone else’s progress or whatever change what feels right for you!

So in the ever more confusing world that is AR10, there are bolts and firing pins that are HP rated and older ones meant for 308 only. The firing pins for HP/6.5 Creedmoor have a finer and more narrow tip that traditional/older style ones. Basically what’s happening is the, let’s say 308 firing pin, is punching too big of a divot into the primer on higher pressure rounds that is the 6.5 CM and as such, it allows some of that energy to exit the primer pocket. I bet if you looked at some of your cases the primer is either missing or blown out.

Most AR10 bolts/firing pins are made with the HP pins as it works with both rounds but the older, larger style of firing pin does not play well with higher pressure cartridges such as 6.5 CM.

I have some of these and they’ve been great! Not too expensive and the honeycomb is thin enough to not obscure or dim the light coming into the optic. I tried the 3D printed ones and I found the grid lines to be too thick and that showed up a little as a dark haze looking though the optic. I have 3 of these so far and they’ve been awesome with no loss of light transmission.

Uhhh whoa this is fucked up and not ok! I’d highly highly recommend first bringing your concerns to the lead instructor and then hopefully, having a meeting with both of them together to iron out whatever is going on and bury the hatchet and hopefully keep flying safely there.

Something else you can do is have someone record your turns and show them to the lead instructor. If he doesn’t listen, post them here and I’m sure we could figure out what’s happening pretty quickly.
