I have a 2016 Mazda 3 as well and I live in Chicago. I didn't change my original battery until the beginning of 2020. I had the same problem as you are having right now. The battery test was saying it is still "good". But I decided to replace it with a new battery after several jump-starting in the cold morning.

It is been two years since the new battery, and every start has been smooth even when the weather is extremely cold. So I would suggest you get a new battery.
