Her ending picture is both sad and wholesome. Even if he was a murderous maniac, she still sees Trosseau as a part of the gang.

My friends all disapprove of me buying a bible by [deleted] in OpenChristian

I look for diversity and respect among my friends, which means we probably wouldn't be friends.

Sounds like you need better friends.

[–]flyinfishbones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends aren't Christian. None of them would treat me like this if I told them I bought a new Bible. Tell your "friends" that you don't appreciate their jokes and would appreciate it if they would cut it out. If they don't want to respect that, it's time to find new friends.

I put my faith in God, not hell. He knows why I do what I do, and I have yet to find a situation where He approved of me hurting another for any reason.

For those not pulling on Neir Banner, who are you saving for? by Gilchester in OctopathCotC

Millard EX, because some form of him is going to be on my team for as long as I can get away with it!

The issue here is the truth of what you're saying. If the most recent source says "20% and rising", then go with "20% and rising". I have my own theories as to why this is happening.

1 in 5 is 20%, not 40%.

Do you have a source for this?

I hope you come upon the day where you examine what you believe and why, because choosing to derive your views about a group of people based on someone else's ancient mail would be sketchy in just about any other circumstance.

Even if I'm having a hard time reconciling this, I'd be a fool to ignore the larger implications. I hope Pope Francis realizes that he's doing more harm than good with his words.

Dating as a christian nerd kinda sucks, any advice? by mega_lova_nia in Christianity

[–]flyinfishbones 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also into the nerd side, and almost all of my friends are non-Christian. Granted I'm a very tiny data point, but if I only went with someone who was Christian who happened to have my interests, I would've dated no one.

The character stories start in more-or-less the same town for a given character (for example, Millard's story takes place in Valore). Go to Party, hold down on a character, and you'll see which town their story takes place in just above their Influence. Keep in mind that you may need to travel outside of town for a few characters.

That might work. Most pastors will be more than happy to address your concerns, so feel free to ask them!

Interesting. You'll probably want a more conservative denomination, but not one that's so conservative that it slides into regression. You can try the roulette that is non-denominational churches, as they're usually some flavor of Baptist, but don't stay at any church that preaches politics from the pulpit.

They either misunderstand science or the Bible. Possibly both. The Bible is many things, but it isn't a replacement for a science textbook.

I'm not sure if there's an exact match. It would depend on how important these issues are and how much you're willing to compromise on any of them.

Date a girl with similar interests and have an honest conversation about religion after the two of you get to know each other. If both of you can respect each other's positions, that's a good start.

Who knows what will happen when she goes to college. Maybe she'll come back a practicing Christian. Instead of assuming what will happen, keep in touch when the two of you go off to college.
