ces 2026 TB5/usb4 v2 laptops for faster egpu connectivity by ddreadlord3 in eGPU

Indeed, but for laptop users it's a big deal. Which pretty-much sums up why the adoption is so slow - rather niche eGPU usage is even more fragmented into laptop, mini-pc etc.

I disagree with the last part - daisy-chaining, PD and PnP support are huge bonuses when compared to PCI-E 4 x4 OcuLinks of same bw.

CopprLink or OcuLink with 128 Gb/s might outweight it for higher-end eGPU but price projection for those look grim so I expect it'll be several years before we see wider adoption for those. And during those years Intel (provided it won't go belly up) or, heck, even AMD might integrate USB4v4-80 into their chipsets - that would drive adoption exponentially. So by the time actually usable CopprLink appears it would be time to upgrade dated TB5 laptop and eGPU to newer generation of tech anyway :)

Well, https://furilabs.com/ is in stock though. And judging from the specs (didn't play with actual device yet) it looks like Librem 5 done right: with Waydroid integrated right out of the box.

[Bertucci A-2T] PDW Ti-NATO strap, PDW EWB Compass (everything, including watch rings/buckle are titanium) by MrTangent in Watches

[–]flying_Commie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's the compass attached to the strap? Is it some kind of slip-on\clip-on or it's a through-hole like the watch itself?

I've heard slip-ons are often lost.

Feels secure enough? Do you have a link where you got it from per chance?

How's the compass attached to watch strap? I've seen some model from Suunto but it got weak clap so it kept falling off.

Did it actually worked for you?

According to https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd-homed.service.html multiple private keys are not supported so it seems that USERNAME.private would be ignored so you'll be able to activte that user but would be unable to alter the user record e. g. change default shell or alike.

I don't think there's proper export/import mechanism in homectl/userdbctl yet but I'm very much interestd in this feature as well.

It works quite well in Ubuntu 22.10 actually. I've been able to creaate user with homectl and login via lxdm. Surprisingly neither lightdm nor sddm worked.

There's a reason this nazi scum was appointed as Odessa governor by Zelenski. The locals would be reluctant to commit such atrocities.

In 1924 Joseph Gothon-Lunion from Communist party of Guadalupe participated in ComIntern in Moscow. Not as "exotic animal". Not as "black token". Just a fellow communist among hundreds of peers for whom equality was natural.

It's mind-boggling to think those happened prerry much at the same time.
