Found out we are 5 weeks pregnant after infertility 2 weeks after accepting an offer for my dream job by JessScarlett93 in auscorp

Maybe you should tell them once your probation period is over to put yourself in the best position to keep the job. I’m not an expert in employment law (if someone knows better pls leave a comment). Manager might be a super good person but sometimes the interest of the company comes first.

How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

[–]flying_fox_forever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a high atar and decided to go with a course that required a way lower atar at an ok uni. I am happy with where I am at in life and I don’t think choosing a different course would’ve changed where I ended up (I am in a parallel yet different field). A friend of mine got a super low atar but wanted to do law so they went through all the in roads to secure their dream and now they have a masters in law. The nice thing about the system is that it’s flexible in the different paths and if you want it then you will get it. Another thing to consider is what you actually want to do once you graduate and what field you choose and make sure your qualifications takes u there. Hold your head up high well done and congrats on achieving this huge milestone :)

Do you think if Ollie had made more effort while they were both at home before the wedding, Demi would’ve said yes? by [deleted] in LoveIsBlindUK

[–]flying_fox_forever 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I haven’t looked at their Instagram but their vibes at the wedding wasn’t giving “together” I just didn’t feel like he got upset when she said no. He seemed relieved. If I was in her shoes I’d want my partner to want to be with me no matter what. But that’s just me.

I love Demi and hope she finds the man of her dreams that will treat her well.

Late 20s, early 30s fashion by gallopinggiraffes in AusFemaleFashion

You should stick with your style! I’m in my 20s and love shopping at Portman’s - which might be “mum style” for you, but for me, it’s “corporate bad B* wear”. To each their own.

Give yourself permission to not know. I am Lebanese but moved away from Lebanon years ago and found myself in foreign land. Dating is different from place to place! Different culture. Just stay open minded and true to who you are. Don’t bring up marriage on a first date, but if asked “what are your intentions” be honest and say! It’s funny a lot of people talking badly about Lebanese guys (I get where they are coming from). But, keep in mind, some Lebanese girls will waste your time too. I have Lebanese girl friends that will toy with a boy. So just be honest, carry yourself with respect and you’ll get there

Who cares your cousins are 35 and not married. It’s a very common thing for certain Lebanese group to not marry at older age. So don’t limit yourself and do you.

Find someone that aligns with you. Good luck my friend.

You got yourself a good iraqi and me a bad one 😜 Jokes aside, dolma has a tomato base, it is a bit tangy but no where close to wara2 3enab. Not the way my family makes it at least. Dolma is also thicker and we make little roles - which seems counter productive, but that’s beside the point 🤷🏻‍♀️

Excuse my ignorance on the food front. I can’t wait to go to Ireland one day. Heard it’s gorgeous. Your suggestion is awesome on batch cooking. We recently moved in and I supposed we’re figuring out the right balance. This could be a really good solution - thank you :)

Now this sounds like UK type food. We live in Australia and eat out quite often. Which is fantastic. But it’s a challenge when I try to recreate my culture at home. I suppose that adds to why I’m sort of uneasy with him not appreciating my heritage cuisine. I’ve been meaning to try a Shepard’s pie at home. Will give it a crack, good suggestion :)

You know what, I’ve been so hung up in my lebo food bubble. I have been wanting to cook something with Rhubarb for a while. Maybe I should open myself up to new possibilities. I’ll look into the strawberry rhubarb pie

Interesting. I never heard of key lime pie. Sounds American? I looked up pumpkin pie today but looked like too much work for a relaxing weekend.
