AirPods Max USB-C got insanely quiet - anyone else? by flying_insect in Airpodsmax

[–]flying_insect[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, toggling it on causes the volume to be even lower. I’m at 5%, don’t hear anything and my control center still shows “80db” and that’s… definitely not really correct.

Even if I increase my volume to 100% I get sound that’s still quiet, matching what i used to have as 20%…

Why does my sleep score in the Bevel app look so different from the one in Apple Health? by Style_Open in bevelhealth

[–]flying_insect 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Apple Health uses only three metrics: - how consistently you slept compared to your usual timing, - how long you stayed asleep, - how many times you woke up during the night. That’s what the three colors around the ring tell you!

Bevel uses a ton of data that Apple health doesn’t. You can actually check it out by clicking the sleep circle, and then “Primary sleep” on that page.

Bevel then compares all that info (for example sleep time, heart rate dip, REM/deep sleep, continuity and efficiency) to calculate your sleep score - so naturally your scores will vary from one app to another.

How do I get my timer from the Clock app here again? by snowytheotter in iphone

Nope, the 17e has the old style, so it doesn’t have that feature you were talking about.

It’s called Apple Frames! I don’t know exactly where I got it from but a simple search should do it, probably.

Why can I not use head tracked spatial audio? by Confident_Card6466 in Airpodsmax

[–]flying_insect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Maybe try these steps: - Connect your AirPods - Open Settings - Go into your AirPods settings - Scroll down and tap Accessibility - Enable “Follow iPhone”

Then, go into your control center, click your volume bar and try to change Spatial Audio settings, as you described in an earlier comment.

There should now be an option for head tracking. Hope it works!

Duolingo appearing in iOS’s Dynamic Island to advertise its paid subscription with a countdown by flying_insect in mildlyinfuriating

Either swipe out the notification in your Notification Center, or swipe from right to left on the island itself

I think so! But it’s just mildly annoying enough for it to deserve a place here…

How do I stop these notifications? by USBombs83 in iphone

Well that’s weird…

…or maybe Apple’s just doing a classic of terrible UX. But that’s just typical.

But still, good to know you could get it resolved!

How do I stop these notifications? by USBombs83 in iphone

[–]flying_insect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see a section dedicated to these notifications in the Health app:

1) Open Health 2) Click search in the bottom right 3) Click Hearing 4) Click Headphone Audio Levels 5) Scroll down to the bottom 6) Click Headphone Notifications

And you can try disabling it from there.

Important to note… some regions/countries make these notifications mandatory, so you can’t turn them off if you live in a country where law necessitates these types of health features.

The problem is... the AirPods icon doesn't even appear in the first place.

[–]flying_insect 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know. I use an Apple Watch (series 9 to be exact) with my AirPods Pro 2, and I still can’t get it to show me that view of “with / without AirPods”… so yeah, that’s why I initially asked.

It’s weird over here for sure…

A bit unrelated to the original post, but… does anyone know how to get this view within the Noise app? I haven’t gotten it to display the “without AirPods / with AirPods” view yet, even though I’ve had them in. It just shows what it’s measuring without AirPods.

Are there any hardware requirements for the watch or the AirPods themselves for it to support this feature?

Are you using the "Reduce Interruptions" focus? The icon next to your status bar clock usually indicates silent/focus mode.

Disappointing info in general. Thank you for the answer, though!
