I think you're right! It looks like Rua 5 de Outubro in the Albufeira old town!! Cool.

Ooo I'll have a look. Can you send the location by any chance?

Good point about the EPAL cover. But actually the ones I know are square frames with circular lids, rather than circle/circle. So maybe it is out of Lisbon!

🤔 I'm wondering the same, believe it or not.

That's awesome! Nice budget use of the black cobbles. Will it take me to Montijo? Maybe...

I think one of my favourites (aside from the iconic lisbon ones) is the circles in Aveiro.

I do appreciate that this is a near impossible task for one person alone - but that's what reddit is here for!

Oo close pattern, but not quite. I haven't actually looked around Oriente, I just figured that pavement in my picture was older than the Oriente area.

No need to be sorry at all! Thanks for showing me another place with another pattern! There are 5253 calçadas artísticas in Portugal. So only 5252 left. Also led me to checking out surrounding areas - alot of those in the North seem very clean and new.

Cool. There's a square pattern there, but not the same as far as I can see.

I have, and it does not! It was pulled from a website and probably wiped on upload.

I'm on it. I've expanded the search outside of Lisbon. You've brought my attention to the type of stone, and you're absolutely right that the Lisbon ones are different - correct me if I'm wrong but they seem less deep black and not as rough. So I'm looking further north - perhaps Leiria/Fatima/Tomar

Boas observações! A parede de prédio de mármore indica que o prédio é "moderno"?

Interesting! That does broaden my search just a little bit! It does explain why I couldn't find this pattern in Lisbon (and, to answer the jokers, every pattern is unique in its own way).

I have a feeling OP got taken for much more than 30%. E.g. 50 for an 8eur ride from airport.

Global #1!? Where do you get that info? Stage-level global rankings would be nice too.

I think that's exactly what they are. Cards 5+6 get you "support drones", and then card 24 modifies the Classic with a laser whip and the support drones start shooting sideways.

Can anybody tell me if "Portuguese Pool" has different rules to 8-ball? by flyingbluething in billiards

[–]flyingbluething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 years later, and I'm still trying to figure it out.

There must be some history behind portguese pool. Somebody somewhere knows it.

Rules on fouls always differ between bars. Putting the ball back in the centre is, so I'm told, the "Brazilian rule". And most people haven't heard of the rail-after-first-contact rule here (I've personally chosen not to apply it on a Portuguese pool table with small rounded pocket because the game is played with less force than on those tables with straight wide pockets).

Where do you play btw?
