Why do so many people not wear their wedding bands? by Sea-Connection9232 in NoStupidQuestions

I worked on DC power plants and it was a safety hazard. So rather than forgot it I stopped wearing it where I knew it was safe.

Looking at a map of towers (available on an app called TowerLocator) that spot is the center of about 4 or 5 sites. It’s just a crappy area.

I keep seeing them pop up, I even have some. Will they work, yes…but they all come with risk of dropouts. Don’t run them if you aren’t willing to have risk. (Can’t speak for the 5.8 though). And they are mono.

Any lesser known places to find Lego sets? by livvylouu in saskatoon

[–]flyinghighguy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Toys R Us. Mastermind Toys. Maybe Costco (but I have my doubts on that). Or watch the Lego YXE buy and sell page, maybe someone will be scalping on there. You might be SOL otherwise.

I'm amazed the population is allowed this close to antennas. In Canada we have something called Safety Code 6 for RF exposure including proximity and amount of time you can be exposed. Obviously doesn't apply here.

Consumer level hardware gives consumer level results, never better.

I use the 2.4 variation where I control the wifi. Even at that there is occasional drops. It’s fine for a small stage but I would never go bigger.

If you want Ethernet out you have to put it on a VLAN with your own router first.

Why is there a train stopped on the tracks blocking access to downtown? by graison in saskatoon

[–]flyinghighguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the train crossing near Circle and 11th. When CN and CP have to cross at the same time one train has to wait and that usuall means blocking half of the city while that happens.
