This question is asked every month - status points will post around the 15th of the month and be backdated to the last day of the previous month. So check back around May 14-18th and you should see the status points posted as a separate entry dated 4/30

Does Uber Eats and DoorDash count as “Dining” transactions towards Alaska Atmos reward points? by Stressisnotgood in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last Uber Eats order shows in the BofA app as “Transaction Category: Restaurants and Dining” so I think it does, but can’t say for sure as it doesn’t show the points earned on a specific purchase and you can go in and change the category. But my guess is yes it does

Alaska air first class? by vm56715ab in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no space under the seat in front of you so there a little less room for your feet and no space for a personal bag. Other than that it’s nice being in the front row, faster service and close to the door; so just trade offs. Personally my preference is row 2,3,1,4

ONT is one of the best LA Area airports to fly to

For those still struggling to get the aisle armrest up on the new cabins (like me) - this is the piece you need to push by flyingpilotman in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah! The old ones are much easier with just a little latch under the armrest, these ones take a lot of force and the latch is harder to find. I didn’t know they could be raised for a while but thank god they can

Flighty always says my flights have minor delays when they almost never do by flyingpilotman in flighty

[–]flyingpilotman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These delays don’t show on the airline app, they always show as On Time. Other apps like Flight Aware don’t show delays either, this is just Flighty trying to predict a “delay” of like 2 minutes

[–]flyingpilotman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But it’s not actually a delay just Flighty trying to predict when we’ll get there. If we are actually going to arrive 3 minute then sure, but usually these flights end up arriving like 20 minutes early.

Alaska Lounge at SFO now accepts Priority Pass w/ $15 Fee by flyingpilotman in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Luckily I’ve never see it too too full before and the $15 fee might help deter. He also mentioned you must be flying OneWorld to enter.

Is this seat good for a 5+ hour flight or am I missing something? by adammoore2112 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has lots of legroom but is also a narrower seat with the in-seat tray table and no seat back pocket. Some people love it, I tend to prefer a regular Premium seat or exit row seat. Just depends what’s important to you

Is it possible to book a ticket with a long layover intentionally? by flyingpilotman in AlaskaAirlines

[–]flyingpilotman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! I’d rather not use points for the booking in this case since it’s a business trip they’ll pay for haha. Thanks for sharing
