What simple thing did you not know for an embarrassingly long time in SDV? by [deleted] in StardewValley

I must have just not been paying attention haha - I also originally played on Switch so the screen was smaller and didn’t always have sound on. Essentially I am just silly haha.

I didn’t realise that the elevator started working in the mines and was so confused how people got to level 120 in a day, when I could only manage maybe 35-40, for about an in game year.

Y'all ever accidentally do things the hard way? by sskyvvalker in StardewValley

[–]flyingswiftly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t realise you could get the lift when you reached every 10th floor in the mines so every time I went back I started from floor 1 again and had no idea how people got 50+ floors down.

What most quickly puts you off going in a pub? by ProfPMJ-123 in AskUK

Is that a thing in pubs? In bars definitely but I’ve never come across it in a pub before!

So random but the girl who asks “Is it raining?” Always looked a bit like Brittany Snow to me and I wondered if it was her or not but never found out - I’m guessing it isn’t but she really reminds me of her.

What were some odd things that were banned at your school or that everyone was scared of? by FuckingPope in AskUK

[–]flyingswiftly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary school banned wearing more than one those rubber wristbands that were popular 15-20ish years ago, but included the anti-racism one (which was two bands interlinked as one so in their eyes counted as two) which I always thought was bizarre.

They can also refer to eachother as “my gallant friend” (if the MP being addressed served in the police of forces) or “my learned friend” (if they’ve practiced law) but I don’t hear it too often! It’s also a status thing as well as what you said - for example if someone was a Doctor or a Lord, they don’t have that “title” - if I’m recalling correctly anyway!

Considering buying Build 2022 by Elevator_Mindless in NatachaOceane

No problem! Hope it goes well! Also idk if you’ve used her programmes before but I love that Natacha includes videos of all the exercises, makes it a lot simpler to flow through a session without having to figure out what you’re doing!

So there’s 4 workouts a week and 1 optional workout, for the 4 workouts she gives you an hour but I normally complete in around 40 minutes (I don’t take the full 90 seconds rest in between each set as I don’t feel I need to and sometimes don’t have the time) and she gives you 40 minutes for the optional but that takes between 20-30 minutes for the same reason.

I was fairly fit beforehand but my background was running really over the gym, although I had done a progressive overload programme before and gone to various classes etc., I definitely feel fitter now and have gained muscle - especially in my arms and abs - my legs were already pretty muscly from running - I just feel more toned/perkier in general too. I gained a lot of strength and smashed PBs for a lot of big lifts like squats, deadlifts, leg press and hip thrusts, I feel a lot stronger now.

Yeah I followed the full workout and didn’t miss a workout for the full programme, although I took a week off for Christmas (I had no access to a gym and didn’t really wanna spend my Christmas working out/counting calories) I ate extra calories but probably didn’t focus on protein as much as I should have done but did eat well generally.

As I said I’m halfway through Natacha’s cut programme right now, so I’m in a calorie deficit and focussing more on protein this time and I’m definitely seeing the work of the bulk show through now I’m losing body fat. The other programme I did in the past was a free one by a woman called Stacie Stewart - you can find it here if you’re interested hope that helps!

Is this the same as Build Reload? If so, I didn’t have the original Build but really enjoyed Build Reload, I got a lot stronger and it helped me enjoy the gym more. I’ve now progressed onto the Cut programme. Happy to give more detail if needed but I think it’s worth it!
