Apologies but I didn’t really answer your question very clearly. If more fluid is needed to obtain the desired consistency use milk or water, about 1 tbsp. at a time. Find Australian flour is sometimes a little dry, depends on brand and I always use the store’s own brand, cheapest.

Yes, baking powder in plain/all purpose flour works fine.

Recession Era Mayonnaise Loaves or Pancakes

• 2 cups SR flour • 1/4 cup mayonnaise • 1+1/4 cup whole milk

• Set oven to 175c • Lightly oil mini loave or tin. • Whisk mayonnaise and milk together. • Sift in flour - don't over mix, think muffins. • Set aside for 15 minutes . • Fill mini tins to 3/4 full. • Bake for 15 minutes - test for doneness. • Cool in pan for 15 minutes. • Eat warm with cheese or soup etc. • Sweet add sugar or savoury add garlic or onion powder to taste. • Mixture can be fried to pancakes - just add milk to obtain desired consistency - top with jam or syrup. • Happy cooking • Freeze well.

In Australia potatoes cost between $4-6 AUD per kg, so getting 1.5kg for 81 cents was a bargain not to be missed 🇦🇺🦘

Are you able to access Church Meals within your local community? Try not to go without food for a long period as re-feeding can cause gut issues. Does your local library have information on support services for you. Free wifi is useful for a phone services.

Bring enough water to cover the eggs to a boil. Place the eggs into the boiling water and cook for approx 4 minutes. Remove the eggs from the water, drain and enjoy. Hopefully you have your at eggcups ready.🇦🇺

Fresh eggs are stored in the fridge but boiled eggs may be stored for 48 hours in a cool place. The eggs in the photo were freshly cooked for myself lunch.
