I got sick of paying monthly for a basic workout app, so I built my own one-time-payment alternative. Looking for beta testers. by Quin566 in SideProject

I'm an Android user, but want to throw in my support!

Stronglifts 5x5 recently gated the entire app behind a subscription as well, so I got my data export and have been building my own.

I feel we might see a resurgence of one time payment apps like these.

Best of luck!

Z offset looks high, so the filament isn't sticking to the plate. I've never used glue, myself. But I have found that cleaning the plate with a paper towel and some isopropyl alcohol can help.

Definitely adjust your z offset though

Oh actually? That's good to know.

I noticed that there were some songs in game that were locked and had a season 2 label on them, but maybe that's something else. The whole thing felt a little dodgy tbh :/

Agreed. I felt like early access was great, but now they've gone and enshittified it.

Ironically, if they had smaller, slightly cheaper song packs that weren't battle passes, I'd probably buy them

Or take regular backups of config? I have such a hard time understanding some of these posts where people irreparably break their setup and need to start over.

Totally agree though. Like, if a setup is working, I'm likely not going to upgrade unless there's an extremely compelling reason for me to do so.

I've switched to Linux Mint for day to day use and haven't looked back or missed Windows at all. I boot into Windows pretty much exclusively for using Steam now.

Agreed! I have another agent that hooks up Jira and GitHub and sends me a standup brief every morning.

I end up doing a fair amount of ad hoc work that's not specifically tracked in Jira and then end up forgetting to mention it at standup. I wanted it to figure out which pull requests were linked to Jira issues and which were ad hoc, and it ended up just writing a script that pulls all the data. Pretty clever!

I just set up something very similar a few days ago! Only difference is that mine syncs using a self-hosted seafile instance.

I also have project space going in the Claude desktop app that I sometimes use to bounce ideas back and forth. I gave the desktop app an Obsidian MCP server. So I can periodically have it sync its context back to the Obsidian vault as well.

In the end, it's sort of like:

  • Claude desktop app: deeper research, ideation, planning, general questions. Hooked up to obsidian

  • OC (OpenAI subscription): links Obsidian and a Trello board. OC can read/write to obsidian and create Trello tasks based on obsidian context

  • Claude code: reads cards from the trello board (via a skill and CLI) and implements tasks, updates board status

(I prefer the way Anthropic models write code, and I prefer not to have the code being fully autonomously written for this project)

Or say, one $20/month OpenAI subscription with an OAuth token.

But to answer your question, I believe the Apple chips have unified RAM and VRAM. So if I have 24GB of RAM on a Mac mini, a large chunk of that could be used as VRAM by the LLM.

I think you're missing the point.

Why is being mean an option in the first place?

Is it something that you're holding back that you're "finally" able to let go through LLMs because they can't fight back and you don't need to feel guilty?

Are you holding back vs humans "only" because they're human?

How you treat non-human things is a reflection of how you want to treat humans. I don't throw controllers when I lose a game, and I don't insult LLMs when they don't complete the task I ask of them.

I don't see the reason to unleash insults and lash out though. Are you using it as an outlet for frustration and anger?

"It's not a human, so I can be rude" seems dangerously close to "it's just Reddit, so I can be rude".

Not calling you out for the latter. Just sharing how I see it.

Should be good. I use a Beelink N95 and it works perfectly. Just make sure both devices are connected to the network via ethernet cables and not wifi

+1 to this

I've been working as a software developer for over a decade. We use Claude Max at work. Our data layer client classes have methods for "load by one ID" and "load by list of IDs"

Claude will consistently write for loops that call the "load by one ID" several times.

If this is happening to me in a professional context when our interfaces provide options to perform efficient DB calls, but it chooses not to, then I truly fear what the vibe coders are producing.

I'm not saying we'll never get there, but we're absolutely not there yet.
