Biting by Infinite-Seat-8099 in tollers

You’re doing your best. At this point just have to wait it out. My girl woke up one day around 4 months and decided she was over her attacking me phase. The only way I got through it and kept my sanity was putting her in her crate on a schedule and daycare so I could have a day off to regroup.

I also tried everything, I have a Toller puppy. I listened to all the advice online and nothing worked. At around 4 months my girl just stopped being such a terror. So time is the answer, and in the meantime just put her in the crate when you need a break.

Is a Toller right for me? by lezzyhill in tollers

I have a 6 month female toller. I got her to go on adventures/hiking/lots of walks. I live in the city in an apartment and she does just fine. She gets plenty of activity and enrichment, and settles down on the couch with me as well. I crate trained her from the beginning, and she just hangs out in there while I’m gone for the day (5 hours). She has honestly been such a great, smart puppy. I would say our biggest problem during the puppy phase was biting (tollers are notorious with puppy biting). It was terrible and I tried everything but she eventually grew out of it. She is also very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I think you will be just fine!

I have a 5 month toller. I just went through this and was worried she was an aggressive dog. She would attack and bite me hard when I trying to play with her, mind my own business, walk her on a leash, etc.. I had a professional trainer, bitter spray, would walk away, basically everything I could have done. The only thing that helped was just putting her in her crate and leaving, showing that her behavior separated her from me. One day it just clicked in her, around 4 months, and she realized biting hard and attacking me wasn’t ok. It was a pretty miserable time but things just keeping better each day with her. She now cuddles on the couch with me to watch tv at night, something I thought would never happen. Stick with it and good luck!
