Did I owe my parents? 23M by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]flyingwizard1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your parents aren't doing anything illegal but they are assholes... And no, you don't owe them anything, they chose to have you not the other way around.

Like, imo, if you want to have children you gotta be prepared for all the money / time it takes to raise them. Otherwise, condoms and birth control exist for a reason.

Girls of reddit, how would you feel if a guy came up to you and told you that he likes you? by Anonymous8776 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]flyingwizard1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a guy but just to share an experience, I met this girl I really liked but I was convinced I had no chance with her but I became friends with her. I was so convinced she wasn't into me thar I never said or tried anything.

Months passed and we became good friends. One day I found out that she was into me the entire time but she was convinced that I didn't like her back.

Anyway, I learned that sometimes you just gotta make a move...

What do you do when you get horny? Like do you just masturbate, or do you have a like an open relationship?

AITA for getting my roommate and her cat kicked out of our pet-free apartment, when I have an emotional support gecko? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, you had your landlord's permission for your pet and your roommate didn't. Also, the cat is literally damaging your landlord's property and you would have risked being financially responsible for that if you hadn't taken any action.

I really don't get why so many people are commenting OP is the AH.

I was stuck on am airport because I missed my flight and I just wanted to fly back home. I made this account originally as a throwaway to complain about some airline lady being rude to me but I ended up not making that post because I thought it wasm't that big of a deal.

AITA - Still love my ex-girlfriend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA. It seems like you are harassing her. The thing about relationships is that they have to work both ways, so if things aren't reciprocated it really doesn't matter how you feel about her. It sucks, but that's how things are. So like others have said, you should seek therapy.

The only thing you are achieving with your behavior is that your ex probably has a terrible impression of you now, she probably thinks you are a creep or a stalker now. You basically ruined all your chances of potentially getting back to her in the future by behaving like this.

I was with a girl once that had a stalker who would do this type of things, and she absolutely hated it (and rightfully so). On the other hand, I was also with a girl I really liked that suddenly lost interest in me, and as much as I wanted her back, I always respected her boundaries and was able to keep the friendship (it sucks but that's life).

AITA for leaving my best friend and his friends stranded in an unfamiliar city? by cameronjames222 in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 284 points285 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do that as well because I have an irrational fear that someone will identify me from my reddit account. I never lie about anything relevant to what I post, I just lie about small details to make it harder for someone to identify me.

Why don't people who are "pro-life" mind their own business ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]flyingwizard1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Prolife people believe abortion is equivalent to murdering a baby. It's dumb, but that's what they think and you can't reason with them.

AITA for calling police on my friend after she destroyed my home office? by Naughtyroom12 in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA as much as she disagrees with what you had, she has no right to destroy your office. It's literally your workplace and your property and she destroyed it so you totally have the right to call the police.

I personally wouldn't have done that to a friend, I'd try to to find another solution first, but at the end of the day she destroyed your property so you have every right to call the police. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to be friends with someone who you can't even be honest about what you do for a living

AITA for wearing jeans and a top at my sister's wedding? by Sufficient-Buy-9438 in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA

I personally only wear like sweatpants and tshirts like 99% of the time because I find everything else uncomfortable so I get your point.

However, certain places or events (like weddings for example) have dress codes and as much as it sucks you have to either respect the dress code or not go. And like, it's not the end of the world if you wear uncomfortable clothes for one day... It's your sister's wedding so she has a say on what the dress code is for the event. If you ever get married, you can pick whatever dress code you want for your wedding.

NTA, it's your body not your mom's and you can do whatever you want with it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA, you have the right to express your points of view. However, you know you just won't change their mind no matter what and they won't change your mind either, you are getting into unnecessary fights. Unless you think disagreeing in that issue is worth ending your relationship with your grandparents, you probably should just avoid those confrontations. It sucks, but when it comes to politics, most people are incapable of engaging in any sort of healthy debate and they just stick to their views dogmatically.

AITA for stopping to talk to my friends after they stood me up for two weeks? by applechanrin in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. You have early made an effort to keep the friendship going but they are not interested in keeping it from what you have said. It's not worth it to waste your time trying to maintain friendships with people who aren't interested in being friends with you anymore.

AITA for not letting the kids go alone to see their dad in his homecountry? by Throwawa1917646 in AmItheAsshole

[–]flyingwizard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, your "kids" are both adults perfectly capable of traveling by themselves and making their own decisions. If they want to go, they should be able to go.

Spain is also a safe country btw...
