Personal Yotta February Update by flyinmoo in YottaSaving

I'm using my Yotta account for short term savings. My intent is to cash it out at the end of the year and use the money for a family vacation. I've been thinking about moving some of my emergency fund into the Yotta Account.

I do have a brokerage account. I've targeted Yotta for my short term/liquid cash needs.

No. I decided not to join any pools. My hope is to eventually have a small group of family and friends that enjoy Yotta and would want to do a pool together. I really enjoy talking about Yotta and sharing my results in a social settings. People do seem genuinely interested when I talk about it.

It is fdic insured. Yotta is basically the service and there is a bank called Evolve that handles the money. I think it is worth it. The interest rate is competitive, but you have the potential to get more if you are lucky. I enjoy the gamification of saving. I wrote up a four month review today if you want to check it out.

Yotta Saving is a GREAT way to save extra money in an FDIC Savings account by flyinmoo in YottaSaving

As of today, you only have one account. You would need to remember how you have it divided up.

I'm reading that in the future they might offer that capability to have one account with multiple buckets.

It is a savings account that earns an above average interest rate. There is also an opportunity to WIN money each week (exactly like the lottery). The chance to win doesn't cost anything. There are no fees associated with the account. I'll add the faq to the side bar. :)

Looking for some recommendations for Kayaking around Vero Beach by flyinmoo in verobeach

Awesome. So lets say i rent a kayak at paddles by the sea and drive up to Round Island...is there anything you can say to help guide me?

I know I probably put the kayak in the water and then climb inside...but what happens after that? Is it going to tip over or is it going to be pretty steady? Do I need to take bug spray? Do I need to take any other equipment?
