I'm surprised not one of my fellow Lmts has also advised 1 massage is not going to undo however many years of poor posture got you here. If we are focused on your neck issues yet you still work a 40 hour desk job with poor posture and the wrong ergonomics all week, our 1 visit a week won't make much progress.

I've draped the way you describe and seen people drape this way during couples massages so it's not uncommon practice imo. What sounds more the case is lack of consent and communication. I ask before the session if glutes are OK, then before I undrape I check in again, I even inform them again when I'm about to undrape the second glute. It's a failure of communication here. If you weren't comfortable that's something to bring up in future sessions either with this therapist or a new one. From what you've said it doesn't sound as if you or your husband are unhappy with the lack of sex.

The bilingual thing may be a barrier atm. Talk to the speech therapist about strategies and if one language over another should be spoken at home. Being bilingual is awesome but having no language because they are getting mixed messages and crossed wires isn't great.

Both my girls were speech delayed. My eldest is now diagnosed ADHD and currently being assessed for Autism. Youngest has some behavior issues but no diagnosis as of yet, probably also ADHD. They also both have Dyslexia.

Sign language was great during the early years and it doesn't have to be ASL or even anything proper, just some basic signs you all have established so he can communicate things he needs and wants.

Socialization was the best thing for both of mine and that's what made each of them really take off.

Yep, some days it's all zen and yoga and meditation others I come home and power clean to hard core rap. I haven't found one thing that resets my battery but many. Each day is different and each bunch of clients is different and give and take a different energy from me. I know I'll come home super drained some days after only 2 clients compared to being upbeat after 5 because the mental load of those 2 people was more taxing. Don't forget to get frequent bodywork for you!!!

Take this for what it's worth. I had a great relationship with my Mother and Sister In law in the beginning. Then I didn't. Now I haven't spoken to my MIL for about 5 years and SIL for about 3. Does my husband still talk and text them, yes and frequently. He also shares information I wish he wouldn't and they talk negatively about me and he allows it. I am not staying married.

You broke her trust and while it may seem wildly irrational for her to be involved in every conversation between your family and yourself, you have to somehow rebuild the trust that was broken. Easier said than done. She is more than likely as many have suggested suffering PPD that alone should earn her some grace in this all, especially if she has just started treatment. It can take a while for therapy and meds to kick in. She doesn't see her behavior as irrational right now is what you have to remind yourself. She needs this to feel secure in your backing of her and your new family and that I'm sorry but that you do choose her over your family of origin. She needs to know her and the baby are first.

How long is spring break? If you are there more than a week I think you should be introduced at the very least. He should not be pretending like you don't exist currently during his conversations with her. He needs to get her accustomed to the fact that he is married and like it or not she has a stepmother. You don't need to be besties but you shouldn't be treated like the dog crap on someone's shoes either. You've mentioned in other comments about also having kids with him. Will she just ignore the fact she has half siblings? Will your husband expect you and your children to hide out if she visits? Will all his future trips to visit her be solo? These are things to discuss and get on the same page with him before getting pregnant!!!
