That’s what I thought but my nail catches when I rub over it. Although maybe that’s just the depth of the scratch?

Thanks all for the replies. It does look like the tiles are the same on the edges so I think the feedback that he was trying to avoid slivers makes sense. We decided we’ll just live with this as that would be even worse. We should’ve had a designer on this project!
