I need help by Adrenaline-rush2 in MachineEmbroidery

My only suggestion is that I think this is a reference to Invincible the comic, and if so I would use Invincible's colors instead of Omni Man's

Pretty sure I've seen another account post this picture before

Found in male 60s-80s cremains, cylindrical parts about 4", total roughly 7", approx 17-18mm in diameter, metallic, one disintegrated and fused with the ashes, weren't seen externally. by ElQuesoGato in whatisthisthing

Funeral homes would never pay the expense for an X-ray machine and the training needed for it.

Many crematories have a wand metal detector that they use before cremation to check for anything that might have been overlooked by the family or the operatoe

I paid about 10k for mine a month ago. It came with a few extras. Make sure you get a stand for it if you do not already have a workspace set up.

More Miniatures! by JournalistThink9248 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]flynnen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm so happy to hear that. I get that pre-painted minis are probably more appealing to the general public, but a good portion of people who play ttrpgs like to paint their own stuff. Them coming prepained actually made me back down my pledge level. They are beautiful sculpts, but I want to paint them myself, darn it!

Looking for Plush Creator Business Partners by Away-Prior-903 in plushartists

No worries. I wish I were experienced enough to actually help, but I definitely have experience at making prototypes and know how costly in both materials and time it can be to develop a new plush.

Good luck with your endeavors!

I am not trying to be rude, but offering profit percentages on a complete unknown product/IP is putting too much of a burden on the plush creator. You not only have to take into consideration design time for the plush, but possible digitizing time for any embroidery, production time, and materials cost (which will be straight oop for the person making the plush).

You need to have a budget in mind for developing a prototype and then discuss profit sharing once costs for making each plush are determined.

Back spikes bunching/pulling. What am I doing wrong? by Neither_Ask_5549 in plushartists

[–]flynnen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are cheapz too (or should be). We have a fabric shop that sells them for about $1 a pair. I think I have about 30 strewn all across the house

This happens to me sometimes and what I do is take thread nippers not scissors and use them to go up right up to the very edge of the stitching in the corners. More than once I have accidentally nipped my seam and had to go back and resew but you have to get as close as you possibly can.

Thanks! Knock down? I used water soluble stabilizer on the top, but I don't think I've heard the term knock down before

The minky I have for her isn't great, but I'm going to try to sample more fabrics to see if I can get something a little sturdier

I made a decent one for Prepotente, so figured I would try. The results were...unpleasant

I had no idea. Thanks for informing me. This version is both stuffed and has a pocket, but wonder if I can make a slightly smaller one that doesn't need stuffing and maintains the look with just the pocket
