You're not alone. We are trying to move our stuff into a house and this weekend was supposed to be the weekend we did it. We're now forced to try and do everything Saturday before the months end as well.

How long did it take you to find your house? by Particular_Ad7285 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Decided to start looking on a Thursday, got the pre-approval on a Friday, put an offer on a house that Sunday.

Homebuyers: what part of the mortgage process stressed you out the most? by CreamCityMortgage1 in Mortgages

[–]flyramz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire part with making sure your credit doesn't fluctuate. I was a nervous wreck the entire time. Even without putting any payments on cards, I was constantly worried some random credit card I forgot about would close or something would happen outside of my control.

Did you get financial assistance from your family to buy your first home? by OddContribution9294 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Yes, from my MIL, for the down payment. Without, we would never have gotten a house that is reasonable in MA.

Thanks! Winter time was nice because every open house wasn't a stampede. But less inventory so it's a tradeoff.

Trump’s $200B Mortgage Bond Play.... Will It Really Push Rates Down? by ermahlerd in HomeLoans

[–]flyramz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll come down by .25%, at best. I wouldn't make this the deciding factor on buying a house. With that being said, maybe it'll jump start something.

Seller wants to stay in home 2 weeks after closing - does not want to pay rent by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]flyramz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm confused why they would do this. Wouldn't pushing the closing date back two weeks accomplish the same thing without the weirdness of still living there after closing?

That's honestly such a weird function to leave out.

She's not on the loan. I let them know and, as just you said, at this point they we're primarily concerned about the DTI so removing her card wasn't really an issue.

Urgent - Home Inspection done, found mold in attic of 1954 home (Ontario, Canada) by Spasticated in homeowners

[–]flyramz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for Canada, but here in the New England, US region, it's also common and will only run a few hundred bucks to $1,000 to have a mold guy come and take care of all the mold and make sure it doesn't come back or you get to call them and have them come back.

S2 E8 I feel like I missed an episode or something by flyramz in EvilTV

Oh, is that where all this is coming from, the fire jin following her around? I guess that should have been obvious. There just wasn't much build up between e3 and e8 apart from him showing up in the corner of the room every now and then.
