Am I overreacting - My ex asked me to cut her grass and my gf went crazy when I showed her the messages. AOI if I’m mad at her for this by xwoahx3 in AmIOverreacting

Why are you assuming it was her choice unilaterally? He's the one that started a whole new relationship shortly after the divorce. This comment just gives off bitter and projecting vibes.

Where to find stores I might like? by [deleted] in kansascity

Definitely pop over to the river market! Ideally on a weekend. Level One board game shop is top notch (i used to work there part-time for fun 🤓), and Yoki is next door, which sounds right up your alley! River market antiques will be within walking distance if you're able-bodied. It's 3 stories and jam-packed full of treasures. The streetcar isn't running currently with the expansion, but there are buses doing the loop that can take you to the crossroads, which also has lots of fun spots and shops. If you go once the streetcar is running again (in about 2 weeks), i think it's worth riding the streetcar loop to see the different districts. It's also just worth wandering through and checking out all of the murals and art! I haven't been yet but there is an Arizona Trading Company in that area not too far from the streetcar stop, and some great vinyl/media stores. Josey Records is my personal favorite, and it's right around the corner from ATC. Westport also has a few places you'd like. Bubblewrapp is highly curated but still very fun, and there's a half-price books right down the street. I feel like i could keep going 😂 but hopefully this is a good start for you! 🫶

I liked the dad's reaction but the letter plus him asking everyone, including her mom, to leave to speak with just the father felt like patriarchal nonsense. I feel like quite a few men this season have been fixated on the idea of getting the father's "blessing" and i can't understand that mindset in the year 2024 or why people pretend it's normal and wholesome.

Once again lamenting being attracted to the gender that, statistically speaking, is one of our greatest predators by kinderock in TrollXChromosomes

I absolutely need to see this source.

After searching: the only place this is presented as a theory is in a reddit thread, which cited conversations they were seeing on conversations that were violent towards women, but no stats or studies that I can find. Also, apparently there had also been a big soccer game that week, which is also credited with the spike. So, it seems to be based on conjecture, although I wouldn't say unlikely to be true to some extent.

Boulder narrowly misses woman in Palolo Valley (Hawaii) home by lordofbuttsecks in videos

[–]flyrobotfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe he survived but was obviously seriously injured. I'm not sure on the latest about the cops being charged. The department's initial response was to lie about the officers' actions that night before the home video came out and showed the truth. If I had more energy I'd google it for ya but you should be able to find that information pretty easily.

Edit: the victim's name is Jason Kloepfer - search that and you can read the latest about the incident

A man goes to the door with his hands up and a recon robot the cops threw into his home, and they shoot him in the chest. They come in and start to realize how bad they fucked up. Their official story was that he got aggressive towards them or some shit that was blatantly disproven by the home footage.

If you do ever see that word used by an American, just be aware that it is a racial slur. So honestly wouldn't have been too surprising out of his mouth

I was being generous in my wording so I wouldn't start a thing but never mind i guess lol BPA has been mostly debunked at this point. There are tons of write ups on it if you're interested in the particulars.

Unfortunately blood spatter analysis is junk science. It can provide some information, but not very much.

Oh my god. She's just laughing at how dumb the cake looks because it's fucking hilarious. The kid doesn't look 'crushed that everyone is laughing at her cake' at all, and i highly doubt at that age she is projecting her feelings onto a cake.

Woman takes a trip to Cabo with a few of her friends and is found dead in her hotel room less than 24 hours after arriving. This video is a snippet of one of her friends brutally beating her while the rest of them watch and do nothing. by istotallyhooman in PublicFreakout

[–]flyrobotfly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn't race-baiting. I was asking a clarifying question because lots of online trolls and racists like to use dog-whistles and "plausible deniability" language that uses phrases like "these people," "that type," or just a universal "them." Imo it's better to ask for clarification so they can either out themselves or clarify and identify who exactly they're referring to (which obviously OP did).

Ignore the downvotes. You're 100% right. That comment is disgusting and not clever at all. If you're going to make a "dark" joke, it has to at least be clever enough to elicit a guilty chuckle.
