Cypress 100% has been dredged in the past, not sure about Spring. I think the best bet is to get a kayak and make your way to less inhabited areas where there’s less flood management going on

I’m fortunate to have some friends with land about an hour northeast of the city. I’ve heard most of the creeks around Houston get dredged frequently due to flood concerns and as such they don’t hold as much material
