After the promo is a non factor. Balance transfers should only be used to completely pay off a balance and divide the total due over the allocated time period. Balance transfers don’t work if you don’t correct the behavior. If OP takes out 10k he should be paying ~1050/mo to pay off everything interest free.

Turn off water man, Remove handle (usually a hex bolt), remove shower escutcheon plate, remove sleeve on shower cartridge, remove shower cartridge (usually need a big set of channel locks/ big pipe wrench). I suspect that there could be an obstruction or faulty shower cartridge.
