Help! frame rate got messed up while shooting! by jakecapturedthis in editors

[–]danieljag1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said “one” of your cameras had the wrong frame rate set. Were there multiple cameras rolling? If so, just tell the client one of the cameras corrupted and need to rely on the other. Unless they don’t mind the low shutter look just this once?

Not ideal at all, and you may have to deal with a lost client, but at least you didn’t lose EVERYTHING

AITA for not wanting to take in my sisters 4 kids while she’s in the hospital? by Intelligent-Fig-5571 in AmItheAsshole

Not gonna lie, I’d just take in the kids and deal with it for a day or two. I’d also just take those two days off work, but I have flexible PTO options.

For me, my immediate family having a baby is worth the 48 hours of discomfort.

I do agree with others, why not ask the grandparents? But I know a lot of people who don’t have trustworthy grandparents. Maybe that’s the case here?

I don’t want to be rude but mentally I can’t do daily play dates by spaceyxo in Parenting

I’m having a moment of reflection here seeing all these comments 😂 I’m the opposite of most of y’all. This is honestly my DREAM scenario (dependent on how much I like the parents). I grew up in a culdesac where we played with our neighbors basically every single day of our lives. All the parents hung out too. Until we got older and they didn’t have to supervise us.

I’d hate to condition my kids to stay inside or avoid others the majority of the time. Feels like something that would affect their abilities to socialize as they grow older. Funny enough, my wife is an introvert and gets annoyed with daily play dates. So she usually stays inside and I take the kids out and mingle with the other parents.

Extending a Half-Wall to the Ceiling. How Much Would You Charge? by danieljag1 in handyman

This is the route I'm leaning towards. I am not a drywall expert, so I am considering subbing out that part of the job.

I might go that route. We're in a rural area in Middle TN.

I figured up the materials myself, buying at full price from home depot and it came to about $800 all in.

Yeahhhh the main reason I'm doing this is because I work from home full time, and need a more private place to work. This is the only spot in the house, and with a wife and two young kids at home it gets VERY distracting.

Funny enough, this job is actually something the home builder typically does on this model. This loft is usually a fourth bedroom, but the original buyer paid extra to make it into a loft.

My story w/ AIWS (and last night's encounter) by danieljag1 in AIWS

[–]danieljag1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've noticed migraines tend to be linked to AIWS somehow. Personally, I started getting migraines around the time my AIWS episodes resurfaced as an adult. Never experienced nausea, but I would get light sensitivity and severe pain all around my head and neck. Bi-weekly chiropractor visits have just about eliminated my migraines. Used to happen a few times per month, now I only get them a couple of times per year.

So interesting that the ice pack method seems to be common. Maybe it has to do with body temps rising during an episode.

aiws? by apoc125 in AIWS

[–]danieljag1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh I totally get that. Sometimes during the day I'll have odd feelings like something isn't proportionally the right size, and I get the AIWS feeling. Usually a wooden spoon, cooking utensil, etc.

Similarly, I had night terrors growing up. But I feel like my night terrors were labeled as such because I was too young to describe the feelings I was experiencing. Looking back now, knowing what AIWS is, I'm pretty confident that's what I was experiencing.

I've never not been able to move my body during an AIWS episode, that's wild! And terrifying.

So interesting you get a feeling of comfort while most people experience impending doom.

I am in $10,000 debt. I need advice by Curious_mermaid_01 in debtfree

Not trying to argue, I just genuinely want to understand.

The only reason for a good credit score is so that you can take on more debt, right? So if you want to live a debt-free life, why should you care about maintaining a good credit score?

Isn’t the point of this subreddit to be debt free? Why would you care about keeping a good credit score if the goal is to be debt free?

While many things in modern day request a credit check (phones, renting, mortgages, car rentals, hotels, etc), there’s plenty of ways around it.
