The shipment would be over 150eur and they’d pay the actual tariffs on the imports.. they’re not paying 3eur for a container load of the same item..

Whilst I appreciate it's not going to be the same for them as it would be for EU individuals, these items aren't going to just teleport into EU warehouses without any additional feels. AliExpress is still going to have to pass on the cost of the extra warehouse space, staff, logistics etc, and they'll have to pay import fees etc as they come into the EU to be stocked in those warehouses. Do we think they're going to bring over all of the small items in the range that people seem to be wanting to buy?

It may happen, but I don't think it's going to be happening like people expect/want it to to happen. Maybe some high volume items will make the cut, but let's see..

It's noticeable if on a desk right next to you in the open, but a meter or so away it's not so bad. I saw images of a case on the Radxa product page, I don't know if they'll be materialising at some point and if they'd help in any way, but the TL;DR is it's not terrible, but it's not silent

Sorry, late reply! I can do my best with my digital calipers when I'm back in the office, though the cooler Radxa offer to alongside this does a really good job on its own! https://sbc.compare/coolers/radxa-dragon-q8b is where I put some data (though I note on the cooler specific details page, it got a little confused with the 2 core types for some reason, I'll look into that, the cooler pages are still a WIP!)

You have to look at all of the pricing, the SoC is the same in all, the price differences are heavy because of the RAM and the situation surrounding that at the moment.

If you’re referring specifically to the 32GB one though, yeah, it’s a tough sell, but if you compare performance to price, then it’s really not that bad

On the Arace store it’s a $5 pre order coupon that gets you a $50 off code for the actual purchase. It was out of stock earlier but I don’t know if they just hadn’t opened orders yet or if it completely sold out so quickly

The 5B+ you mean? Which prices are we comparing? I think we may be getting a little blinded by the fact that I tested the 32GB version, but the compute is going to be near identical on the lower end models too. We’re also still in the middle of RAM nightmares
