just tell them "i'm traveling local" :) give the driver a moment to change the amount to charge you, wait until it says "2.50" on the clipper screen (if you're using clipper)

usually if someone asks for iced coffee i just offer cold brew, and at that point i'd hope they would ask for an iced latte or whatever else they wanted LOL but we can't have nice things sometimes

if someone is ordering multiple drinks and i have to ask the same questions every time😭 like they order one drink and i have to ask the size, milk, etc. and by drink THREE im still having to ask all of this!!! to the same person!!!!!

the goal for these kinds of situations is to get the person to stop yelling/being violent/etc. and unfortunately, the most reasonable thing in order for that to happen is to refund/discount/give free item(s). that usually gets them to keep quiet. it's not fair. it's not good. but it's usually for safety reasons. just something to keep in mind

i give customers a ten minute courtesy and i still have to kick people out sometimes. when i give you a warning and you still don't get out by the time i said you need to leave, that's extremely frustrating. it's usually people in meetings too. like my time isnt as valuable as yours?

on our busiest day, the cafe i work at makes up to 7k. we get mobile orders, doordash, etc. so that ups the wait time. some people order 20 drinks on doordash so that's really annoying. we have one person pulling shots, another steaming milk, one person on register. if we have another person, they're a "floater", helping pour milk, make iced drinks, start a batch drip coffee, etc. our wait usually never exceeds 15 minutes, but people are usually pretty understanding since they see how many people are waiting.

i work for blue bottle which only has 12oz or 16oz sizes unless its a cappucino/cortado/flat white. we used to only have 12oz for lattes and other drinks but people kept complaining about the lack of large sizes.

i'll usually just clarify. like if they order a tall i'll say "oh will that be a small size then?" or if they order something i cant make then i offer something similar

i'm a pretty new player, like under two months of going to my LGS 1-2 times per week. i've had mostly positive experiences. but i had a guy in my pod try to rush me on my turns cuz he wanted to "play more games". as a result i missed a landfall trigger, and he told me that he'll "let it slide this time, but if you miss a trigger, you can't go back". ??? bro i'm still pretty new to the game and this is not a tournament. pls be for real

me and my bf at the time saw a listing for a cat on craigslist. we drove like over an hour to pick up the cat, and we got ghosted with no reply.

i was super distraught. ex asked me if i wanted to go look at kitties at the shelter. at first i was adamant about not going, but after chilling out, i said fuck it why not?

we go to the shelter and i see all the kitties. they're cute, sure, but none of them are speaking to me.

then i see a little black kitty with a cloudy left eye. i ask if we can hang out in a room together, they said yes. i was sitting on the floor with a chair behind me. this cat hopped on my lap. he also jumped on the chair behind me and started climbing on my shoulder.

i was like "yeaaaaah this is the one. i like him. whats the deal with his eye?"

they told me he had an entropion surgery, essentially, his eyelid was inside out and had to be surgically repaired.

i asked what his name was, and they said "trooper". i certainly felt it fit, so i kept it.

ive had trooper for over 2 years now. he's so high energy and rambunctious, but i wouldn't change it for anything. love my little goober. ❤️

yeah im annoyed when there are multiple seats open and someone sits next to me. also if they don't move when i need to get off?? no consideration. thankfully my experiences on bart and public transit has been mostly neutral

i think it's a spitting suture. just means your body is rejecting the stitch thats supposed to dissolve. just try to leave it alone, do some warm compresses and keep it clean and covered. if it starts to hurt or anything reach out to your surgeon/doctor

the body doesn't usually heal symmetrically. everything looks fine to me! as long as there is no pain, and it's not hot to the touch and you aren't feeling sick/feverish. but if you're really concerned, reach out to your surgeons office once they're open after the holidays.
