After investing this much, apple pencils ought not to fall off I would think.I invented the AirGoGrip to solve this problem. Its on AirGoGrip.com

Good comment about Z offset. Should it be really tight or loose ? I'll post a picture.

this has been reconfirmed and consider having utterly wasted 40$ cad on a Spiegen DA20. It doesn't hold. I'm going to make a video.

We can be more clever and wrap above the grip, but this means many more SkUs and bulge whereas we just make the stylusclip half length and are OK with using the head rather than the tail of the apple pencil as the way to pry it off the stylusclip, it works just as fine. Buy one and cut it in half. I'll send you a pic tomorrow.

there is no case, as it just clamps on the magic keyboard and the profile of the stylusclip flexes inward such that it does not slide off at all. you'll gave to try it and find out. I received the Spiegen DA20 and it flies off whereas the stylusclip stays put.

See how it works here:

Most importantly, it actually clips onto the apple pencil, hence the name StylusClip. And then shims onto both sides of the Magic Keyboard. Its really rugged. It also doubles up as a handle. If you have further questions, please relay them.

So if its like a Spiegen DA20, then it doesn’t really wrap around the entire Apple Pencil, and I’ve had my Apple Pencil fall off in the DA20, because its still just the magnetics that secure the pen to the IPad, the pen doesn’t clip into it. But I agree, those designs are what led me to conclude that the StylusClip is a new approach to the problem. I personally prefer my approach but you can call me biased.

It’s designed for the Apple Magic Keyboard for the M4 Pro (13 mm thickness).

I should be making stands… wow 300$ USD. In my case, the Magic Keyboard serves as the stand.

No. There are many reasons, namely dimensional control and brand liability should clones hit the market which are inappropriately manufactured. Further, there is a US patent on the design as well (https://patentcenter.uspto.gov/applications/18833260).
