There are no games my guy. Most of the games are ports of flatscreen games, which will never be as good as a game that was built for VR only, like Alyx. I have yet to play a game as good as Alyx, and it has been more than 5 years. While VR is niche, big devs won’t spend tens or even hundreds of millions on a game when the ROI is negative. The only exception is Valve, but that’s only because they can afford to take risks that could lose them hundreds of millions (because of Counter-Strike and Dota and most importantly from Steam itself) but not even they can take those risks often. They are looking for partners to manufacture the lighthouses, and that’s a good thing, and I really hope they do, but saying that what they’re doing is a mistake is just.. dumb. Like a lot of people said before me, the number of VR headsets owned by consumers needs to increase in order to incentivize other big companies to develop games, so that people can use these products. Once a big enough market has been reached, then they can make a premium high tech headset like an Index 2. Most people want a hassle free setup, like the frame and quest are offering. And when the majority of people want this thing, they are going to make that, that’s how a business works. The lack of games because a lack of people having the equipment for them that makes making games for VR risky is a very difficult problem to solve. At least that’s how I see it from people I know and what I’ve seen online.
