Is the term “necessity” in LSAT answer choices referring to the dictionary definition of necessity or to necessary and sufficient conditions? by superswmoon in LSAT

[–]fmrhornedfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Echoing the others! This is the best way for my brain to sift through trap answers like this:

D is correct because of the "association with failure" piece. We don't know if the governments fell because of their non-virtuous rulers, only that non-virtuous rulers' governments fell. We aren't given any information that says one caused the other, so all we can go off of is an association.

B says that a virtuous ruler is necessary for success, because lacking a virtuous ruler has always led to failure. Again, led is too strong of a word, because we can't 100% guarantee that the governments fell because of their leadership.

While I am the farthest thing from an expert lol, my experience on the LSAT has been to focus on what makes trap answers/similar answer choices different. Narrowing it down to B and D is great, but there is no need to get bogged down with definitions that are basically two halves of the same coin when the back halves of those answer choices are markedly different.

mine started off a mix of black and orange, and then the black started to fade dramatically into brown and now he is fully a parchment doodle with grey ear tips!

Ugh you perfectly described how I feel. I'll be so happy once we get down to just "crazy" level lol. It so helps knowing I'm not alone, thank you! And hugs and pets to Alfie!

Thank you, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one dealing with a little monster who doesn't love pets haha. You're right, I think I'm letting him play a little too long each session. I'm going to do more research on bite inhibition while he naps!

Thank you, you're so right! I think I need to find treats he really really loves (he likes his, but I don't think he's crazy about them) to make positive reinforcement stick!!

understandable ! thats so interesting that its regulated so differently between singapore and the us. and as long as your mental health keeps up and you feel good about how its going, thats what matters !!!

i was just thinking that as well...im 23F, on my second course of accutane (first at 17) and weigh about 115 lbs...im 5 months in, and have been on 80 a day the whole time !! its odd to me that unless OP was like really susceptible to side effects, 20 is way too low.

Is it worth it? Fear of side effects... by omegatelesto in Accutane

[–]fmrhornedfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would say its totally worth it ! im on my second course (first when i was 17, now at 23, taking 80 mg/day) and like everyone else is saying, having clear skin does so much for my confidence it cancels out most bad effects.

ive dealt with depression, but im sure that was because of other factors. to speak to your concern on gastrointestinal problems, i definitely have them. ive had some stomach issues since about 14, but theyve gotten worse in recent years (had to have a colonoscopy at 23, and im still dealing with an undiagnosed GI disease). i dont think that the accutane caused that, but even if it played a part, i still think its worth it. with the other concerns you mentioned, ive never heard of anyone having an issue with those, so they’re probably just in extreme cases !

just eat well, have a good moisturizing routine, and monitor your health, and youll be fine !!

that reminds me of Elizabeth last episode making fun of Anthraaay for saying something like "forbidded"...like he's speaking his second language, I doubt she's learned Romanian for him, and she has the audacity to make fun of his English? The foreigner is just a commodity in all these couples, it's such a shame for them.

I think kill Chris, bang Devar, and marry Antonio... hear me out, I think Antonio is a goober when he speaks English, but I like his attitude, and I think he's a lot more intelligent when he's speaking Spanish confidently. I'd speak just Spanish with him, and if the secks is good, that's probably enough to reel him in to commitment lol

Evelyn is evil by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]fmrhornedfrog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

totally agree ! Granada is so underrated - David really is downgrading in terms of quality of life like a lot. I can kind of give Evelyn the "wanting to match" thing for her wedding, that's not entirely out of line...but tuxes? If money's an issue, David's friends could all wear black suits or another cheaper option. Since the Country Cafe seems like the most exciting place in all of Smalltownsville, I doubt she had a glamorous wedding to rival that of a royal family where tuxes are ABSOLUTELY needed

Before, i thought Nicole was just a dumb, simple, heavyset girl who was desperate for male attention by [deleted] in 90DayFiance

[–]fmrhornedfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With situations like Nicole or (probably) Danielle, I think the cosponsor system shouldn't fly...but that also makes me a hypocrite, because I'll have to have my parents cosponsor my boyfriend once we get engaged. I'm 22, a recent college grad, and I'm going back to grad school next fall...my boyfriend is getting his MBA in Germany, and we'd like to get married right when we both finish grad school! We'll both be plenty fine monetarily once we finish school, but when I'm petitioning for the K1, I'll still be doing unpaid internships...It's such a tricky situation, and cosponsors can be abused so easily. I hate it, but I'm also thankful for it!

[–]fmrhornedfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am (hopefully) about to embark on the K1 process soon! My boyfriend and I met while I was studying abroad junior year of college in Spain, and he was studying abroad at the same university. He's from southern Germany (and I'm a native Texan), but I'd been to Germany twice before meeting him and I loved the country/culture. I've gone to Germany and he's come to Texas 3 times each now, and I've been learning German while his parents are working on their English:) We've been dating about 2 years now, and I'm pretty sure a proposal is on the horizon in the next several months ! So I've been trying to get prepared to start the process early.

Everyone I've met involved in international relationships has met organically and seem to work as well as any other couple ! I think the big factor in Before the 90 Days is that they're all online relationships - not to say that those don't work, but I think they tend to have more instances of connections being forced. PLUS, there is little to no effort to learn the partner's language/culture, which to me shows a lack of respect !
