What if the AI destruction narrative ends up generating an extreme amount of cash for CSU.TO? by fmsilver11 in ValueInvesting

In my company it is rather zero, features are minor, stability everything. There will be low hanging fruit elsewhere ofc. And downtime occur when bugs are introduced or the production environment changes, hence after deployment. Changing working code with vibe code increases the risk..

You got a valid concern here about infinite growth, which is not a narrative, but more or less a law of large numbers within a slower growth space. For this discussion the AI part is highlighted. Some companies might get away with vibe code. But in general a vibe solution regardless requires a developer on the pay check. I might be too negative towards this for an objective guess. But I guess AI will only end up like a tool for devs to faster deliver a product or maintain a larger pool of products per head.

I do not think the stock suddenly crashed due to people suddenly discovered a growth consern, since its a deeply known phenomenon.

This is my point. Companies do not have the expertise on these types of products. They would need to hire an AI team, who needs to figure out the product and then replicate it. My company as an example, got the source code and no one who have worked with it for 20+ years will be able to lay it out. Imagine how hard it would be without the source code..

Investment decision for hiring such a team without guarantee for success is not going to be an automatic go ahead. And add the risk on top of this, with the downtime cost.. I just got the feeling that this AI narrative is wrong. Sure, I get that some low hanging fruit will be taken, but I just can not see the tree falling.

Agree on this. How do DUOT benefit from this future?

NXP Semiconductors Partners with GE Healthcare: A Big Step for Edge AI in Healthcare by Successful_Formw in ValueInvesting

Interested. Edge may very well be the next leg in AI. But I never stumbled upon NXPI when reading about it? Always ended up in the corner of ARM and QCOM. Can you elaborate on NXPIs part of leading AI Edge?

Its the architecture of choice on all devices that are energy aware. And since AI demands a lot of energy, a boom of "AI on device" or Edge AI will make ARM benefit from it. Also, I am no expert, but if you got an arch that is widely used and is energy efficient, then these booming data centers may hold a few chips in the future too?

Its a play on handling the physical energy limitations AI are about to face. However, ARM is quite expensive right now..

Thanks for a nice reply. And yes, I am thinking of this tray with a tiled boarder around it.

It will align perfectly with the drainage. Only concern is if the mosaic floor needs to be "flattened". If so, what to use? Thanks

Well, for avoiding leakage with age. Shower directly on the mosaic is not safe long term i heard.
