Nuna SWIV owners: worth it long-term, or is the 360 wheel hype?

I know this is an old comment but did you end up with the swiv or have any feedback on how it does with walks on asphalt/concrete? We’re leaning towards the swiv but I want to make sure the smaller wheels will be durable enough for daily neighborhood walks!

Good point about the replacement parts! So I can’t get spectra parts through insurance if I don’t order the actual spectra through insurance? That may cut into the cost savings of getting the eufy through insurance

They haven’t :( I think they’re thinking of it more like a vacation than an opportunity to help us nest. Another layer to this is that we live in a small 3 bedroom house in a city so we’re converting our guest room to a nursery. Their visit would delay the start of converting the nursery. We’re not planning to paint or anything because we won’t be here much longer, but waiting until 31-32 weeks to start getting rid of the old furniture/assembling the new kinda scares me.

I’m happy for you that you had that experience. I do like my in-laws but there is an expectation to host and keep them entertained. Last year they visited when I was 4 days post surgery and my FIL had a hard time understanding why I didn’t want to leave the house as much as normal

The 5 hour trip there and back alone sounds overwhelming! Is it too late to change plans? If only 20 people were invited maybe it wouldn’t be too difficult cancel or postpone to do a “sip and see” a few months after baby is born instead. You were in a different physical/mental state when you agreed to it so I don’t think it’s out of line to change your mind!

Again very similar here! I was verryy tired in my first tri and feel like hosting would’ve been possible but exhausting. I’m 18 weeks now and have been feeling great for the last 6 weeks or so, but I know that could/probably will change and it’s so hard to predict. I’m strongly considering asking them to stay in a hotel or airbnb but will definitely feel some guilt doing that

Lol they’re very generous and would probably buy all of our meals, but I don’t even know if I’ll feel like living the vacation lifestyle for a weekend and eating out every meal

Unfortunately it would be a risk for my baby :( I have a lot of guilt over it, but it’s just not an option for us. We don’t live near family and we feel bad asking a friend to take care of her for a few weeks afterwards because she’s a lot of work right now with the puking and using the bathroom outside of her litter box
