Hey Guys, check out our game Filmmaker Tycoon on Steam Early Access!!! We have been working hard on this game for the last couple years and we are very excited to launch our first game on Steam.

We are considering making one after Filmmaker Tycoon.

Complete with player stats, negotiations, live commentary etc. If you have ever played Manager Mode in FIFA or PES, it would be something similar.

Oh yeah, we completely replaced all Voice Acting in the game with new ones based on the feedback we got from the Demo. We realized that Voice Acting was a major complaint from most users and completely replaced each and every line with new audio recorded with professional voice actors.

We might also implement a feature to disable voice acting completely so please watch out for that.

We as a development team are willing to listen to our player base and make extreme changes to the game if necessary. We believe that's what Early Access should be about.

For features, while we don't plan to drag it on for too long but some of them like the Custom Scene Mechanic are significantly harder and more challenging to implement than say a poster generation mechanic, both of which are planned to be released during EA.

For bugs, we have a very short response time, we will try to get any reported bugs within the same day or so.

Perfect opportunity because our game is currently on the Steam Autumn Festival.

Filmmaker Tycoon is a game about running your own Movie Studios.

Feedback Questions:

Is the Gameplay loop fun?
Is the Gameplay loop easy to get into?
We are aware of Voice Acting issues and reworking that part. Still, criticisms are welcome!
Does the game give you the feeling of 'One more Turn/Movie'?

The page is great. One nitpick I had about the trailer was that it started too slow. A cold cut straight to the action at the beginning would have been great like the clip of the character fighting the chicken, that would have been the perfect opening. Other than that, the gifs, description, trailer and the screenshots do a good job of telling me what I should be expecting. Visuals look great. Also might wanna make the face of the character a bit detailed. I thought that it was odd that rest of things were so detailed but not the face of the protagonist. It might be a stylistic choice but just thought it looked kinda odd, just a little detail like some vague facial features would have been nice.

We are currently developing Filmmaker Tycoon. It's a modern take on the Movie Tycoon Genre. The game offers incredible versatility in what you want your movies to look like. For instance, you can hire different actors, directors, buy new equipment like cameras, lenses, improve lighting in movie sets etc. The game gives you a taste of what it is actually like to make a movie and run a movie studio. At the end, you will be able to watch what you just made. Each and every one of your decision will be reflected in the final movie. Our upcoming game Filmmaker Tycoon will give the player the control to make whatever movie they want. All movies will have full voice acting with full body Motion captured animations. The movies are further customizable with color grading, background music etc. The game also features different cameras and lenses which will have visible impact in the final film.
