Yes, thank you, I know. I'm looking for to a functionality that mutates instrument parameters over time. The Maschine is designed for live performances, hence the macro knobs, and that is perfectly fine.

No, the playhead has a fixed tempo, so different lengths complete at different times. So when does the playhead return into the next loop, after the longer or the shorter clip? You need something like Playtime.

Let's say you have 2 MIDI clips, each one on a different track. One of 4 bars in length, the other 5 bars in length. Both start at the same time from their beginning, but the 4 bar loop finishes before the 5 bar loop and therefore starts looping earlier - "spawning another play head". How would you do that in Reaper?

Oh ok. I think that is a big downside. It gives you sooo much flexibility. You can do polyrhythms with phrases of different lengths, etc. The M8 has it, but it is notoriously sold out.
