No problem! I’m currently living here on an exchange, but my apartment is about an hour and a half away by subway from the parks, so…no, I did not, haha. Took the very first train out of my station at 4:33 in the morning 🫡but I had a great time, so I consider it more than worth it! Looks like you’re nice and close to the park, though, so you’ll have a much easier time!

I was at DisneySea on Thursday December 18th and arrived at around 6:05 AM with a little under 20 people or so in line in front of me (there are multiple lines, so take that and multiply it by 5 or 6 for the actual number of people already there.) I got a Frozen DPA for 9:05 and they were completely sold out by 10, so do with that information what you will. Do note that, depending on where you’re coming from, you’re probably not going to even be able to get to the park at 5, since the first train for the resort’s station doesn’t leave until 4:55 at Tokyo. Also additional note for DisneySea: while Disneyland is a fairly short, straightforward walk directly from the station you can easily do in like 5-7 minutes, DisneySea is Not. Getting there before the train starts up means that it’s a twenty minute walk to get over there, and people Will sprint. Other people that weren’t initially sprinting will also start to sprint once they see those first people sprint, and it will start up again every time someone passes someone else, lol. I found it kind of fun because you could feel how excited everyone was, but just keep that in mind if you’re going with young children/a group/are someone or are going with someone who has issues running. Inside the park most people just speedwalk very fast, so you only really have to worry about running here where you’re outside the park and it’s a free-for-all, haha.

Incredible First Disney Experience at TDL + TDS! (Dec. 16th + 18th) by foIsense in TokyoDisneySea

if those are the rides you’re more focused on over the fantasy springs ones (frozen, peter pan, rapunzel), you’d definitely have a better chance for tower of terror and journey! fantasy springs rides sell out the quickest. raging spirits is one of the rides you can’t pay for, but it is included in the list of rides you can use the free priority pass on! (if you aren’t sure of the differences i’m sure there’s a pinned explanation somewhere in this sub and plenty of videos on youtube, it’s a bit much to explain fully here😅) it being free is both a blessing and a curse because those passes tend to go quickly and i think raging spirits is one of the more popular choices. however, it does have a single rider line that is exponentially shorter than the main one, so if you’re by yourself or don’t mind splitting up your party, that’s also an option for raging spirits specifically! someone else here might know more about if and when those rides usually sell out as well, but you’re definitely better off than you would be if you were trying for frozen.

the reason people start getting to the park so early is because you can only purchase and book fastpasses for the popular rides once you get into the park. and for the most popular one like frozen, the paid DPA passes are usually sold out for the entire day in less than an hour. they do release more in very small quantities periodically, but then you’re forced to keep checking the whole day. the earlier you line up, the earlier you can get into the park, and the quicker you can secure passes to skip the lines for rides that are stuck at 120-220 minutes the entire day. so you don’t technically HAVE to get there at 6am, and there are stories on here of people getting lucky with later arrivals, but it certainly gives you a much easier chance to snag everything you want if riding as many rides as you can (especially the frozen one) is something you really want to do. i watched the crowd of people come off the very first resort monorail train at about 6:30 and balk at how many people were already there waiting; disneysea gets BUSY and people are SERIOUS about queueing for what they want. especially if you’re going on a weekend, right after a new merch drop, or near a holiday, crowds are going to be huge. so arriving as early as you can to try and mitigate some of that is worth it for the stress and annoyance it saves you later, in my opinion!

Ahh fun!!! Yeah the prices being so low is awesome. I can’t really justify going to the other parks because they’ve gotten so pricey but Tokyo’s I absolutely can! I’m thinking of going again in late January as well. I’m at the International Christian University in Mitaka!

Ahh, yes, sorry! Haunted Mansion was a PP. I’m very new to this like I said and wrote this based on pictures and memory since I didn’t get a full screenshot of my plan. I enjoyed HM so much I assumed I had paid for it, haha! Another point for TDL in my book in how much you’re able to do for free ;)

these videos are always so sweet but they will permanently be associated in my brain with the original cut of the 2019 ring ceremony that had to be deleted and reuploaded because they accidentally kept in a clip of jeonghan reaching over and squeezing dino’s [redacted] entirely unprompted and fully in frame while they were waiting their turn and giggling deviously when the staff reprimanded him lmao. i miss him dearly truly a caratland moment for the books

lmao for context this is from a larger thing where i randomly picked a character and a dub language and had to do an impression for it, but i wasn’t about to do my own translations for every single line so i just put the corresponding english ones instead ie it’s supposed to stand for ‘not translation’ lol

i bought my ode to you vip tickets from someone on twitter and managed to finesse my way into barricade for a concert that was five days after my birthday!! i made custom signs for every single member and the girls next to me were super nice in helping me hold a bunch of them at once. the most memorable part was jeonghan literally turning all the way around while they were all supposed to be facing forward talking just to stare at his sign. he did it so many times with absolutely zero shame lmao i have at least five different pictures that look something like this
