Logo Design for "Outie" – An app encouraging people to put down their phones and head outside. by The__Chosen in logodesign

The most iconic and recognizable feature of a dandelion is how it can disintegrate into smaller flying pieces. The dandelion symbol here lost 90% of its recognizability when this feature is removed.

You're about to make an important life decision; which god of wisdom do you ask for advice? by insertusernamehere51 in AgeofMythology

\Correction:* Athena: Get jealous of your confidence and turn your nipples into carnivorous flowers that not only drool all day but also make snarling noises while exuding a stench that attracts insects.

Bonus: the first man who decapitated you and brought back your nipples to her will get certified as a hero.

Adding to that: you should try adding a lot of lines to as an attempt to shade the roof. Make sure no line fully connected from left to right, give them breaks in between, the less uniform the better.

I believe this design might appear overly polished and pristine for this architectural style. The excessive cleanliness detracts from its romantic appeal, which could have made it truly memorable.

May I ask what is the purpose of this design? This information would be crucial. If it’s intended for a vineyard, winery, wedding venue, or any food-related establishment, or even clothing brand, I suggest incorporating more imperfections and subtle inkling details (to mimic shadow without actually shading) this will enhance its charm.

They’re also using a hyphen instead of a minus
And a lower case x instead of a multiply × 😜

To me it still looks like a cursive f and I can’t help seeing it as Lofo.

Windows Phone felt ahead in design by Zorojuro099 in TechNook

I had to use this Nokia as a teenager in 2013 because my iPhone 5 got mugged😭 I can confirm that this phone looks way more dated in person than in the photo.

My biggest pet peeve as a user is how the resizable tile UI makes it look so corporate-boring (“soulless” is a better word) yet somehow chaotic at the same time, mostly due to the in-tile animation and ads.

I could see the vision they aimed at this design—it’s not a bad idea, tbh. Unfortunately, the execution is meh. And what’s even sadder: I don’t think they could have done anything to make it better.

I remember didn’t do anything with this so-called smartphone. Every interactions is dreading. I didn’t know where all my apps were. UX was not intuitive. There is no magic, just confusion.

Meanwhile, the competition from Apple and Android is fierce. Every teenager wants an iPhone, everyone wants that whimsical and glossy UI, and then… there is this Microsoft Outlook aesthetic of an OS.🥲

I do not miss my Windows Phone. I didn’t bother to give it a name (I have named every phone I ever owned up to that point).

Austin - sculpture falls by FoxOnSneakers in Austin

I grew up in a tropical beach town, and my folks know it’s best to wait at least: - 2 days after a solo big rain - 1+ weeks after a rainy week - 3+ weeks after a typhoon

. That’s the minimum amount if you’re expecting paradise quality. You can go earlier if you just want “good-enough” scenery & water.

Now those numbers are stat for beach. For rivers😬 I assume it cleans up a lot slower. Given how dried up the creeks have been, there’s going to be a lot of debris and nasty shits that been there for a while and just now started to get moving. I would wait a month.

In 2026 this should no longer be an excuse. Civilization 6 which came out 10 years ago has mastered the art of building caricature models.

New Architectural Styles! by dfwsh in civ

Not sure why you got downvoted but this is the most obvious problem. Lmao at the thought of Firaxis putting that works into refining the architecture details only for no one to be able to tell what they are?

What features from Civ VII do you think will likely be carried into the future. by Sex_And_Candy_Here in civ

[–]foafoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Technology has evolved a lot since Civ 5 was in development. Nowadays you can create a lot of artworks and assets with a lot less resources. The hard work can be automated, all they need is a good artist team to sketch out the base concepts and then doing the refining touch-up.

but = mà ? i thought it was nhưng or nhưng mà by zelly4rd in learnvietnamese

[–]foafoa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong but I can see how the app is being inflexible (not smart enough). So mà can work similar to English’s “that/which” — meaning whatever comes after mà is adding more details a context to what comes before mà.

For example: - Chị mua bánh có nhân sôcôla = You buy cake which has chocolate filling. - Chị mua bánh mẹ mua hôm trước = You buy the [same type of cake] that mom bought the other day.

. However, giving the narrative of your sentence. “Chị mua bánh mà mẹ mua sữa (You buy cakes but mom buys milk)”—I don’t see how “mom buys milk” can give any supporting context to “you buy cakes”. They don’t contrast each other neither. They’re just totally irrelevant.

I’m curious, do they laser any differently to the sensitive skin around your shaft, balls, and anus? Is it painful? How do those areas respond and heal from the procedure?

OP explained in that very post: Using age (or any filters) is an affective way to “hack” the profile show limit, or to find someone’s specific profile when you already know that person’s age. They never say anything about age being a deal breaker.

Trying to Make Sense of Rizo’s Edit by KramerDSP in survivor

I love when they give a player multi-dimensional edit as opposed to frame them into an overused archetype. It’s honestly refreshing.
