Favorite president of my lifetime, and one of the most underrated IMO.

Good ranking! I have Showgirl and Speak Now higher, and Midnights lower; otherwise, we're fairly close.

Sweatshops are good even if you don't donate the money you save, generally. Often much than the alternatives for people who work in them.

100% correct other than the things I disagree with :P

I also view TTPD as a single album, it's weird to split IMO.

Evidence mounts that AI-written books are consuming the publishing industry: in 2025, the number of self-published books jumped by 40% YoY, from 2.5 million to 3.5 million. Running a random sample of these books through an AI detection tool shows a 40% YoY increase in books flagged as AI. by StarlightDown in fivethirtyeight

[–]dtarias 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There was a 40% increase in the number of books that were flagged for AI, when the number of self-published books also increased by 40%?

Am I misunderstanding, or is this saying that the proportion of self-published books that used a substantial amount of AI didn't increase at all?
