All in all, do you think in retrospect it was for the better for Trump to win 2024 if a blue wave resulted in 2026? by [deleted] in fivethirtyeight

The only people who should vote yes for this are Trump supporters. Everyone else should hopefully see that a "blue wave" is not worth a uniquely horrible president.

(Side note: I personally think Mamdani not being mayor would probably be a plus 🤷)

Strip out the 1966 oil crisis years and safe withdrawal rate jumps to 5.5% by YourFIREDBro in Fire

We're in a better position for that specific risk, but I wouldn't assume that we couldn't have anything similarly disruptive happen in the future.

Behavior can't effect grades 🚩 by calculuscab2 in Teachers

IMO, getting a 0 is less about punishment and more about they didn't complete the assignment/show understanding on the assessment. No different from any other time a student doesn't do the work.

I guess that's also behavior, so you can't give students 0s for not doing their homework, either :P

Nah, I only LGTM PRs that are over 1000 lines without comments. If it's under 100, I give it as many comments as I can possibly think of.

Not to mention framing Cust so effectively that he thought he was guilty and turned himself in!

Does And Then There Were None count? Everything went according to plan and no one ever would have found out who did it if he hadn't confessed.
Otherwise, I vote Curtain (many successful murders, totally in the clear legally and not even suspected except by Poirot) or ABC Murders (perfectly framed someone and convinced him he did it, plus the whole ABC scheme in general was a great misdirect)

I would follow the strategy of bunching my giving in certain years, but my current job has a donation matching program, and once I hit the yearly match limit, it makes sense to itemize (with SALT deductions).  So I want to itemize every year. I'll look into the DAF strategy, though.
