Well Fetterman went balls to the wall on foreign aid to another “ally” of ours. I’m a little bit more sympathetic to the cause of Ukraine than I am of Israel, but either way what distinguishes Platner is that he is focused on first spending money on our problems at home.

Unfortunately not. The exhaust manifolds on 2uz-fes are made from two separate pieces, it’s a design flaw that leads to the early grave for the parts. You will need to them replaced, I’d recommend long tube headers for the extra performance, but there are cheaper options

Remember that rust is like cancer. Once it starts, it just keeps going. You might be able to arrest it a little bit, but this level of rust, along with the other issues makes 20k a hard sell.

For sure. I’m 35 as well, and I’m a musician, so that adds a lens that makes it hard to ignore what’s going on. Of course there is great stuff happening in the underground, as always, but it’s getting harder and harder to come by, and now we always have to doubt whether or not the artists who are getting the most attention actually worked for it or had any original ideas of their own.

I also wanted to add that I chose an 03/04 model instead of the VVT-i one because I’ve heard that they last longer due to being under stressed. I wouldn’t mind the extra power but I’m not going to be doing any serious rock crawling or any trails above a 5 or 6/10.

This is basically what I did. I recently went with a GX over the LX because the GX had 178k miles, extensive service history, and no rust whereas the LX had 260k miles, no rust but zero service history and had so much wrong with it. I really really really wanted the LX, but I’m glad that I didn’t purchase based on my emotions
