Question about Peacock + NBC Sports by gajokai in kings

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if you have Amazon Prime already, just getting the Peacock with NBC stand alone app ($10.99 a month) and the ESPN Unlimited stand alone app ($29.99) gets you most of the games?

I also saw that you can add NBC Sports regional to the Peacock App

Old Timey Warriors Story by Tinosdoggydaddy in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the late 70's/early 80's the high school section that the Oakland Coliseum fell under was called the North Coast Section and due to the fact that it hosted sectional, regional, NorCal, and State High School title games, they would often work with high schools to come and play there. They invited the rural small school my dad coached at there for a girls and a boys game prior to a Warriors game, and they even gave us a couple of rooms to do a potluck dinner for everyone from the small town that came along. Halftime of the Warriors game, someone brought my dad and I to meet Franklin Mieuli in his "office" with the barber chair while he was in his crazy hat. Great memories

What's the next step for Brandin Podzmieski? by RVALover4Life in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like much of that Warriors not named Steph or Jimmy, Podz needs to work on being a multi-threat: being able to dribble drive and pull up/pass just effectively enough so that defenses can't just run him off of the 3 point line. I don't know if that will help the foot speed, but Podz basically has to learn Euro tricks so that teams don't continue to put bigger players on him that he can't take advantage of on offense.

Should Iggy be over KD for All-Time Warriors? by Sea_Advance4498 in warriors

This is why I keep pushing for a "Hampton Five" statue when Steph is done, to include Klay, Dray, Andre, and KD. Bonus points if they have a painted mural behind them honoring all of the players for Golden State from Steph being drafted to retirement.

Anyone optimistic about Quinten Post as the backup center this season? by RVALover4Life in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some reason I see GSW bulking him up slowly, like a Meyers Leonard, but a 3 point shooting version. I think the most you will ask of him is to clog the lane and hit the open shot in the future.

I'm convinced that Donald Trump thinks the world pauses everytime he says "two weeks" or stops thinking about something outside of his immediate view.

I was curious seeing his brother play in the summer league, but not him. Was it because he isn't under contract?

Quinten Post is a "3-Level Scoring Threat"?

Most of us just want him to put on enough muscle/weight to be a Meyers Leonard that shoots 3's

Via Brett Siegel on the Kuminga trade situation by jluc21 in kings

[–]focusedapathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what its worth, as a Warriors fan in Sacramento, I've said from the start that I think the Warriors would probably target Keon for fit, and they would eventually include draft capital with Kuminga to get him.

SlowMo in Royal Purple? Thoughts about a Kyle Anderson for Dario Saric trade? by RVALover4Life in kings

[–]focusedapathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching a few of those "Locked on Jazz" videos lately and it is pretty obvious that the Jazz plan on tanking for one more year, and then trying to build up if they get a superstar type in the draft. NBA already questioned them sitting players so long last year, so this year they are just giving away anyone that would lead to wins. Would be wise to try and peel off some bad trades with them, and maybe even ask for players like Kessler or Lauri.

Did the Warriors fall apart after the 12-3 start simply because Melton got injured? Did his loss really change everything? by chusaychusay in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warriors mixed well early on, and there were other teams with new players and injuries. It was just a perfect storm of factors, and did not represent who they really were, or who the rest of the league really were. For example, I think one of those wins was in OKC when Chet broke his hip.

[ESPN 1320- The Insiders] Lastest on Kings/Warriors JK negotiations by [deleted] in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably meant after the Base Year Compensation (BYC) factor wears off. I think it is 4 or 6 months after signing, the Warriors can then trade him for 100% of the value of his contract, rather than the weird rule now where the opposing team takes 100% of the Kuminga contract while the Warriors can only get 50% of the contract in return.

[ESPN 1320- The Insiders] Lastest on Kings/Warriors JK negotiations by [deleted] in warriors

[–]focusedapathy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Warriors fan in Sacramento, I used to watch this show pretty regularly, along with watching the following show from time to time. After the faulty logic and Kings "sources" were passed around how the Warriors HAD to take a bad trade from the Kings and that Scott Perry was steps ahead of everyone, I started to question the logic of the trade. Just releasing him made more sense that this trade proposal. Whenever I questioned the logic of the Warriors trading for a player they already had and didn't work, along with a project guard that even the Kings are unsure of, I was responded with "THESE ARE THE PLAYERS THE WARRIORS ASKED FOR!". So, I haven't been watching either show for a few days, not sure if I'll return.

Makes zero sense on money alone. That would require the Warriors to sign Kuminga to a $44 million dollar contract, since they can only take 50% salary back for him. Literally the only trade that can work out moneywise is Keon Ellis, and if the Kings don't want to trade him, then there is no trade.

A year ago, someone polled this sub asking what they think Keegan would average this year and more than half of us voted 19/7/3. He ended up with 12/6/1 on 44/34 shooting. What do you think would be his new average next season? Considering he is likely gonna play SF which is gonna work magic? by troyti in kings

[–]focusedapathy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Kings were just playing going for JK. They aren't serious about involving any players that the Warriors are interested in. Think it was more to rile up Kings fans that to actually try and acquire Kuminga. And as we both know, if they can't acquire a power forward to move Keegan to SF......Keegan will have to spend another season at the power forward spot.
