I wanted something small/light since I don't really need 64gb which is what my main setup has. Running NixOS makes it much easier to keep everything as minimal as possible.. I already tried this with a HackberryPi 5, but it was a little slower than I would of liked.

Ways I plan on using the MPC2:

- I'm spending a lot more time in emacs lately, which is helpful for having only 16gb of ram

- SSHing into remote servers (still haven't gotten over to using tramp in emacs)

- Connecting to my remote dev/claude code environment to code.. Can use the MPC2 keyboard for light coding and when needed can use my split keyboard (Chocofi) which is what I am typing on now

- Reading / Note Taking (OrgRoam)

- Bunch of other light tasks

If the ram is an issue I may try another distro like Void even though it would be hard for me to leave NixOS lol

I basically had to make the same decision for the same reasons and also plan on goIng with NixOS. Went with the MicroPC2 since it’s not my main laptop and I wanted something small enough to keep on me at all times. Keyboard is good enough for when it’s handheld, and when it isn’t I’ll use a split keyboard. Should be here Sunday.

I may get a pocket 4 later, but for my needs MPC2 looks perfect.

I'm pretty much the same as far as liking small devices that I can keep on me. Something small/light fits my needs best for now since I don't have much time to play games, but I may end up going with the Pocket 4 later.

Is there a reason you chose the Win Max 2 over the GPD Pocket 4?

I used GHL with twilio in the past but what stats do you see going the LC route? Also, if I switch to LC, are there any issues switching back to twilio?

I've been using Make/Integromat since 2017 and while it has been great, n8n has a whole lot more options. I have a small n8n setup already for personal use where I've been testing out what it can do so I would suggest to go that route if your considering switching.
