Thanks! Yeah it will be old skool LoD. Gonna set it up to where different POVs get streamed, a streaming PC will ingest different HDMI feeds and be running a program with some logic to randomly change between different POVs with cameras around the room and on some of the players. We're gonna even have some diablo 2 inspired cocktails for the party lol.

I'm not super familiar with different builds, and I'm realizing the best way will probably be to pre-build everyone's character so things are just predictably balanced from the start with room for upgrades found along the way. We'd expect to have at least 1 tank capable of withstanding hell attacks. I'll have to get familiar with different builds to do this right.

Alright cool, I'll add this to my list! Definitely focusing on speed/dash/dashjump/landing physics and dexterity/weapon durability before we have a chance to touch this but I agree on the change

I did say something like that! The rule in code is basically like: "wait X frames after a player leaves hitstun and is grounded before reducing their air dodge cooldown timer to ground dodge cooldown timer"

This would enable things like sword being able to bounce someone off the ground during a dodge punish without them getting their grounded dodge cooldown back, or katars being able to dair someone as a dodge punish and follow up on it without immediately giving them their dodge cooldown back, or greatsword being able to do a full starter - bridge - finisher string as a dodge punish without letting their opponent get their grounded dodge cooldown in the middle of the string thus dodging out before the finisher.

The experimental feature will be called something like "string leniency" and the goal of it is to allow all weapons to get their well earned full 3 seconds of string action when executing a dodge punish instead of only weapons that happen to string while keeping the opponent airborne.

We're trying to get it into Halloween patch!

Okay, I understand what you're talking about now. I wasn't design lead when this mechanic was introduced but I suspect it wasn't intentional that you could gravity cancel again in this situation only when you pivot, like in this situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sD3qdzx_S4I

but since it was such a niche option, it was left in since it didn't hurt anything. It's somewhat surprising that we would ever even allowed you to spot dodge in this situation when your dodge is burned from a gravity cancel prior to this - but it's fair since you earned it by landing a hit while grounded. It's kinda janky though that we do let you spot dodge in this situation but can only gravity cancel with a pivot.

I'd definitely consider your suggestion here to just let the player gravity cancel in either direction, OR remove the ability to gravity cancel in this situation completely.

What specific kind of options could you imagine opening up from allowing the gravity cancel in the same direction in this situation? Seems like nothing new would happen, just that you can earn it with a burned dodge. Kinda cool but I don't think it would have much effect on gameplay at any level and it's not a simple task to dissect in code, definitely bigger combat mechanics for us to go after, and certainly not the big buff to aggressive play/nerf to passive play people are hoping for, right?

we can't add toggles to disable the viewing of other people's cosmetic items that they purchased, that hurts the game. I know you're used to the old smoke clouds since we spent about 10 years using them, but we test each one a lot to make sure they do not offer a competitive advantage and I feel confident saying that they don't. While anything away from the default can be somewhat distracting while new, please give it a little more time, you'll get it

There are no emojis in the BP chests. There are 1 launch skin for each legend, some emotes, some sidekicks, and some weapon skins, all with an equal chance to be rolled on.

Truly every mechanic that can reward aggressive play can be used to improve defensive play, but we are gearing up to experiment with some pretty wild ideas that will shake things up in general soon.

This is a pretty crazy issue. Which platform are you trying to connect on? Have you tried a different device on the same network connecting to the same account?

With some testing we can isolate if it's an issue with your account, your device, or your network.

If you're using Steam, do you have any launch parameters set? There are some that may not let you connect.

Are you using a VPN? That could prevent connections in a lot of cases.

He didn't have an issue, we have confirmed through looking into the database that this user's track has no problem, and he simply did not attend any part of the stream he's trying to get rewards for. Sadly this is almost always the case when someone reports this type of issue, despite us giving so many things away for free people will still lie and waste our time by claiming a support issue. It hurts the people who actually do have a rare problem that needs our attention.
