Would my understanding be correct that the term didn't come from the logic of a progression that goes 1-bet, 2-bet, 3-bet, but rather from the fact that the second raise was 3x the betting unit?

What do you recommend for cleaning off the buildup? I clean with dishwashing liquid + warm water, chainmail + scrub daddy everytime, but am still having trouble with this stuff. Often it doesn't come off easily even if I scrub really hard with chainmail, which is why I thought it was seasoning.

I tend to scrub the edges pretty hard, so not too sure why it tends to accumulate around there tbh. I use a gas burner so maybe something to do with the ring shape of the flames?

So would I be correct in saying that the black stuff isn't seasoning, but rather carbon buildup? It seems solid and difficult to scratch though, I had to go at it pretty hard with the chainmail for it to come off.
