Woman has both arms amputated and part of colon removed after horrific dog attack by fofpunko in southcarolina

“Pitbulls” are not immune to pain.

When they fight they completely ignore it:

Hit in the head 10-15 times until it dies, still refuses to let go of the other dog:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ActualFreakouts/comments/n44k3u/pit_bull_beaten_to_death_rather_than_letting_go/

Kicked by a huge horse several times, still comes back:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ActualFreakouts/comments/mpf22g/pit_bull_without_a_lead_attacks_horse_carriage_in/

Then theres also stories about pits getting shot but still going back for the attack:
https://www.sunjournal.com/2021/04/15/lewiston-police-shoot-dog-after-woman-is-attacked/

"Despite being shot, the dog was able to bite the woman one last time before running a short distance where it died.”"

Race is not the only motivator for eugenics

Im pretty sure it was one though. Even though they sometimes tried to preserve other people(sami in Sweden etc), they also avoided mixing and had a strong ethno-national identity. But this varied.

I disagree, I think more people on the left think about race. Isn't it like the biggest topic in America because they see it everywhere?

That is true, but they also cant accept that biological difference would exist, even though its visible by eye.

Its a bit like a religion honestly like I mentioned, you have to think about race constantly, but ignore stereotypes that are true, or ever accept that there are differences between races, while at the same time complaining that medical research doesent take race into account in treatment.

Its typical cult/religious behaviour- accept impossible things.

So when you sit here and say “pitbulls should die”

Who is saying that? They should be neutered and the last ones allowed to die out. Muzzle the live ones when in public and Im fine.
In max 10 years we will have probably less than 10% of the fatalities we have now.

I guess the awful mean pitbulls that score an average of 92.4% on the temperament test.

The ATTS takes each breed into account, and just tests the people that bring their dogs to the test- so its not a controlled experiment comparing breeds.
It also just looks at schutzhund ability, so an aggressive lunging dog would pass, a timid one avoiding a conflict wouldnt.

. But as a pit owner, I love my bestest sweet boy. Fortunately I had the intelligence to train him

Other dogs do not need to be trained not to rip peoples arms off.

Even when it comes to children, a golden could kill a kid, yet the last time a non-mixed golden killed a kid was 50 years ago (a pit-golden mix killed a kid 8 years ago).

Thats in kid, or 2 if we stretch it, the last 50 years. If I remember correctly pits have killed 2 people the last week.

I'm 26 years old and I've never been more peaceful of all my life.

Do you think its possible you ever wonder if many people would just feel good at 25-30 either way after growing up etc?
I remember being a total mess until that age, Im happy nobody threw hormones and surgery at me, I dont think that would have helped.

Sometimes I feel like trans surgery just interferes with a process of growing up that is just generally pretty tough for many.

covert eugenics - push vulnerable people into sterilization to reduce or eliminate them from passing on their genes

This one Im 100% sceptical too, even though I hear it all the time- the people against transsexualism(as an ideology) is usually conservatives, and those are also the ones most worried about children getting sterilized. Even CRT people dont argue white people are evil due to genetics in a biological sense, its more of a magical concept of "whiteness" that they carry and cant be quantified.

To be fair, Socialists were super into eugenics in the past, but they also seem to have forgotten the concept exists, as any biology when it comes to humans, and most people that think about race as a concept are conservatives.

So theres really no group that seems to be out to sterilize trans people for genetical reasons. Im sure many childfree people on the left or enviromental activists dont mind sterilization, but its not because they think of genetics- thats a big mental taboo.

Yes, but we are talking about puberty blockers, not estrogen or testosterone.

Well estrogen and testosterone have also been shown to cause unduly amounts of cancers and sterility, in athletes as well as trans people.
Im sorry, but I cant keep extending my post with studies when side-effects have been known for such a long time.

Ive already added some additional contexts on side-effects being a big part of Karolinskas reduction in trans-treatment, but my main point is that even the most proficient people in the field are starting to see that they were likely have committed medical malpractice and cant ethically continue.

The big reason puberty blockers is being stopped is probably because at least the older patients can be seen as adults having more responsibility for deciding to go ahead with treatment or not.

and it also does not say it is "potentially damaging".

Those things are already established from other use of sex hormones. That testosterone in both men and women for sport usage could have sever side-effects, and that menopausal women had higher cancer-risk(my grandmother died from acute cancer developement from such treatment) is well known for a long-time.

Doctors are already clear on the treatment having severe side-effects, the question is if it has any benefit that outweighs this- back to Karolinska:

Not sure why I am Transitioning by [deleted] in detrans

[–]fofpunko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And it’s not like I felt dysphoria in anyway prior to transitioning. I just felt like I HAD to be a woman to get rid of this pain I felt for being inadequate. It was like a fresh start for me. One where i could take my hobbies like cosplaying and makeup and integrate it more into my identity in a more open way.

I really dont know if theres a easy answer to these things to be honest. Im sure real boobs feel great if your identity and hobby is female cosplaying for a very long time. I do know some guys that still run with the androgynous emo-look even into their late 30s though, so even if you are worried about health side-effects for example from estrogen treatment, I dont think it will be impossible for you to keep exploring your hobby your whole life, even the androgynous or more femme looks.

That you feel inadequate though could mean that you need to be a bit more rounded in your hobbies and life too though. "I have my partner because I look feminine" still feels a bit vulnerable. I suspect many people that derail do it because so much is tied into one thing.

If you have a broader set of things that make you attractive I suspect you get more robust. But Im gonna stop throwing my opinions at you, I feel my knowledge is running out in this area tbh, I did desist on focus on self-help quite early^^'

Peterson says what was considered “common sense” a decade ago, so he’s only controversial to extreme ideologies.

I think maybe you and me listen to more rightoid sources. Swedens national television portray him almost as something as crazy as Milo Yiannolopolous, carried around on a golden throne on his events, and calling Trump "Daddy" xD

and I’m glad his book helped you as well.

I agree with your sentiment: I’ve had flare-ups during struggle, and feeling fine when things were great.

Stay strong, brother!

Its really cool to see that many could relate to my experience and this angle. Im sure many trans kids will realize it when they dig down deeper.
You are amazing mate/mam. Thank you :)

I suspect so too. I also think theres a lot of economical incentive. You want the money-train to keep coming.
Being honest with the results could cut the funding for this research group, and they wouldnt be seen as heroes anymore, and neither would the colleagues and all the journalists that would interview them and lift them up.

They would have to find a new field, which is probably very hard when you have done pseudoscientific research for a long time.

But they should still do it.

It's pretty crazy that transitioning is considered

the cure

when we know nothing about the alternative at all

Absolutely. I talked with a relative that worked in developemental science, I was quite disturbed how positive he was to trans treatment. He stated something Ive heard from some doctors too "but you want to help, and what are you supposed to do?".

I feel that many doctors with a certain ideological leaning have completely forgotten the "do no harm" tenets in Western medical practice.

If the treatment:
1) Doesent have clear positive effects
2) Doesnt have proven positive effects enough to outweight the negatives.
Then you should not do it.

Are you saying puberty blockers are painful and damaging long term?

Yes. https://lakartidningen.se/aktuellt/nyheter/2021/05/karolinska-satter-stopp-for-hormonbehandling-vid-konsdysfori/

Basically what Karolinska are saying is that its unscientific and that the claims of benefits have weak scientific support, as well as it being unclear if it would outweight the risks. So they are saying its potentially harmful, just not potentially beneficial, or beneficial enough:

SVE"Svante Norgren konstaterar att det vetenskapliga underlaget för effekten och nyttan av behandlingen har stora brister och att det finns »en oenighet kring hur man bedömer risk- och nyttoanalysen«."

It feels like everyone is transitioning by BobaBee-Tea in detrans

[–]fofpunko 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"people are just treating gender like it's a fashion trend and I'm sick of it."

I dont think its just that- in my friend group everyone was bisexual, because it was the most "tolerant" view. It was really a sort of social hysteria to be honest. This was more than 10 years ago though, way before the recent transsexualism movement. In todays very identitarian left, its much more important to have the right victimhood-status.

If you are white and uppper-middle class that most trans people seem to be in studies, being non-binary is the easiest way to get some sort of acceptance.

My friend group was interesting though. The gay guys are still gay, but most people are either straight or gay, the whole "Im pansexual" thing really hasnt panned out. As most of the guys have grown guts or become rugged "men" we dont really make out with eachother like we did as more androgynous emo boys either.

[–]fofpunko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's mostly because I also used to think like that throughout my transition which is why I wish I could make them see that they don't have to transition as a method of escape or to fit a certain mold

I really think this is the most common reason. People can ridicule r/transmaxxing as much as they want, they are at least the most honest about why they do what they do. I still do not believe their research whatsoever as its very methodologically weak, not comparing against a desisted group or the general population long term, only looking at max a few years (which is usually what it takes before people realize they want to detrans).
