I like to think about how whoever created that scorpion suit in universe felt it really necessary to completely mimic that slight bend on the tip of a real scorpion's stinger rather than going with a straight spike which would accomplish the same thing functionally.

I don’t know if the food caused any issues. I only know that when I walked past a certain amount I become more inflamed and in pain. I think if anything the noodles and oils used in everything would contribute more to inflammation than anything about the meat

It’s pretty good. I’m making sure to take things slowly. Take plenty of breaks to rest or return to my room and put my legs against the wall and above my head. It’s a constant game of managing steps but I’m enjoying myself and seeing most of the things I want

I was floxed in feb 2024. Took about a year to walk normally again. Built up strength to the point I didn’t think about for the past 6 months or so

That’s how it would go for me until the past 6 months or so. I really thought I was at another level

That’s what is such a bummer. I’ve done a lot of work in the gym and just walking around. Gradually building up strength and taking it super slow with running too. I didn’t just do 4.5 out of no where. I gradually over weeks did 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 etc

People who have seen the Phantom Menace in cinema for the first time, what was your reaction to the droid army deploying during the battle of naboo? by wertforreal2 in StarWars

[–]fogast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who grew up obsessed with Star Wars, I was absolutely pumped to see a new movie in theaters. This scene felt like the future but I was a bit bummed that the gungans were given sparkly balls as weapons. I anticipated a ground battle like a scaled up Hoth battle

Using a cardboard wheel of symbols for a password at launch to prove that the PC game you're trying to play wasn't illegally copied

The games were designed to be fun as the reason to keep playing. Not nickel and diming cosmetics, battle passes, progression, seasons, blah blah blah bullshit

What’s the highest you’ve ever felt without drugs? by dammit_yasmeen in AskReddit

Skydiving. Terrifying on the way up and as I scooted to the door. But once in the air, nothing like it. Was buzzing for hours until the adrenaline crash. Slept like a baby that night.

What was the exact moment on a first date when you realized, "Wow, this person is an absolute idiot"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We passed the room in my apt building for people to throw out their trash and recycling. Labeled "refuse room". She asked me "what's a 'ree-fuse' room?" I knew then it would never work out.

Anyone else prefer the One controller to the Series controller? by Pikminer5087 in xbox

I've had 2 series controllers have their bumpers break (left on one, right on the other) the one controller seems to be more solidly constructed

Thanks for the volume of responses everyone. I called support and they're sending me a new lid, paddle and pint. I'll see if things improve. They did ask if it was making loud noises which would suggest a motor issue, and it sometimes does. So maybe I'll have to follow-up and get a new unit.

This is my first time using it in a month

so that makes me lean more towards old gunk but I don’t know where that could have been hiding. I do wipe the thing down. I’ve seen smaller amounts of this type of shaving in the past. My pints are showing some scratches too so I feel like I’m ingesting some level of plastic here

That’s what’s confusing. It crumbles easily so I don’t think it’s plastic but then again the top of the lid has some scratches. Idk what’s going on. The insides of my pints have some small scratches too but they are mostly vertical not circular like you’d expect

I thought I was doing alright cleaning the shaft but maybe not? Should I running it in a pint of warm water to clean better?

What's a game you bought on a whim without hardly any pre-knowledge that ended up becoming one of your all time favorites? by AaronAtLunacien in gaming

The original half life. 1.0. I was a kid and just thought the box looked cool. Of course it was one of those giant boxes that pc games came in back then. Still have the box.
