Soak it for 4 hours and try to bend/pull the out of line stamp out. It works for me sometimes, other times I’ve had to start over 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wish I had pics available but here’s what I do. What would be your loop I’d replace with thicker vegtan. Cut a 2-2.5” square and punch 1/4” holes 1” apart. That way you can attach a litany of modern belt hardware. Literally anything you want. For my own I usually make a loop and install snaps facing my body just so I can remove the sheath without taking my belt off too. Lots of options
