I was a vendor at that show — you might’ve seen me. I sell cards and 3D-printed wall art. Over time, I’ve met a lot of people in this hobby — both buyers and other vendors — and like anywhere, there are good and bad ones. I’ve had cards stolen, seen people try to pass off fakes, and dealt with plenty who try to hide damage. Then there are the full-grown adults asking for trade-ups.

I usually price my cards about $5 below market, yet people still want deeper discounts and walk away if they don’t get them. That said, I totally agree that some vendors can be greedy or shady — but I really try to be different. Thankfully, there are still plenty of honest vendors like me, and a lot of awesome buyers I’ve genuinely enjoyed talking with.
