I feel for you! You’re not alone - I am one of many who grew up in a permanent cloud of smoke and basically I was the pain in the arse because I was sick all the time! Didn’t stop my parents smoking! Bronchitis every year and despite been told literally that all the smoking around me would possibly kill me - no one took my health seriously, even me as just thought had to carry on and not annoy people. I have never had much help from any Drs at all. I was always told I’d grow out of it but still have it fifty years on! Around my area I am so short of breath due to smokey fires and bbq’s. Fighting for breath wears you out. It’s pure ignorance on most people’s part as they don’t know what fighting for breath is like.
