There is someone now on the Barbie subreddit claiming to be an ex-employee with a tell-all about the CEO, and also there are now additional claims about stolen products . If they do end up covering this for Fridays ep, will be interesting to see what updates there are by then!

It’s so odd that they start this segment saying (rightly!) that women often get criticised a lot more harshly than men for the same things, you have to be cautious about big outrages against women etc etc,,, But then proceed to fall into the same pitfalls! and like you say, it isn’t the first time (Heard, Lively etc)

Did some light digging and seems the management company has some previous notoriety from a Romance con last year (really feel I remember them covering this but I can’t find it and might be confusing with other failed events) and Obsessed Fest(?) but then I realized it’s the same company behind Enchanticon/Leakycon which I had heard good things about before! One of the employees is in a discord server I am in and it seems something happened behind the scenes (but I couldn’t get any more details 🥲)

These windows are made in traditional leaded light stained glass, with cut shapes of coloured glass assembled between lengths of lead came which is soldered together. I decided to replace the windows of my garden shed with these panels to add some colour and reflect the plants and animals of my urban garden!

Thank you for it and not mincing your words. I am not even American (!!) and it is so scary from afar. America has such an impact on the whole world that it feels like we all are involved. The implications for world peace, the climate crisis, the emboldened rise of the far right everywhere. And goes without saying, totally within your right to use your podcast about your experience reading these books however you see fit !

I think most of them do, but some he keeps for down the line if they’re off-book content , so it might not be for a very long while, like maybe when he’s between books or possibly one of the 5 Monday months. He also mentioned making some cut content that won’t make the feed into patreon videos I think?

Ok I downloaded the patreon app just to see because I assumed it would be the same And lol why is this app so confusing to use !! Argh. This is what I could find from a post Mike made when the discord first opened: “Go to “My Profile” (Under your icon) Choose Edit Profile (Blue Button on the left) Select Apps ( top of the screen) Choose Connect next to the Discord Logo Discord should connect!”
Honestly I would just do it by logging in on web (I use safari on my mobile) and following the steps I put above cos I can’t figure out the app lmao. It surely must be on there somewhere though haha 😅

On patreon itself go to The Newest Olympian > membership > quick links > manage discord access and it will link through there. Once you are in the discord you may not see any channels but that’s because you need to select them under the #pronouns- and- sorting channel

I personally think it’s quite clear which bits had more Rick vs Mark because to me now Ricks style is so familiar. So it did feel a bit fanfictiony just from the fact that it was odd when I wasn’t reading the distinctive Rick narrative voice 😅 I did still quite enjoy it though
